==[YamaIntro 0.1]Introduction==
I've made this guide because I was bored & to help some Rookie Yamatsukami hunters so yeah, I dismissed my activities involving the NarugaKaruga Guide because my laziness finally persuaded me to stop working on that guide so yeah the naruga weapon strategies will be left missing forever. Please take note that as long I made this guide very understanding & helpful, the less controversy we going to had in this guide so enjoy reading.

==[YamaAbout 0.3]About: Yamatsukami==
Yamatsukami is the oldest Octopus-like Elder dragon known to Hr 9 hunters(though, not to be confused with White Fatalis since White Fatalis is the Ancestor while Yamatsukami is just as ancient as he is). Known to stay on flight without any support, it's attacks are slow but devastating like fatalis'. They have a symbiotic relationship with Great Thunderbugs which often found hiding inside Yamatsukami & will be dispersed if neccessary. The Difference between a normal great thunderbug & Yamatsukami's Great thunderbug is they dont drop shinies & lastly, they can explode(when it glows red longer). Like Lao-shan Lung, it's back can be carved for 4 times or bomb'ed for more damage but to reach it's back, specific amount of damage must be pulled off before jumping onto Yamatsukami's back. Their Weakspot is much like Lao-shan lung but different because of it body structure so for melee weapons is the mouth while for ranged weapons is the eyes.In it's Rage mode, it's eyes glow yellow(which firstly freaked me out). Most of the time, Yamatsukami quests mostly located in the MHP2ndG Tower but since in Monster Hunter 2 ~Dos~, Yamatsukami quests are located both the MHF2 Tower & the Town(night). It's unusual Trait that it's fins appears to be moving when it is slain, much like how White fatalis'/Kirin's mane moves when it is slain.

==[YamaStrategy 0.6]Weapon Strategies==
Longsword
Recommended Weapon:
Shadow Saber moon
Snow Blossom
Exceed Beat
Fatalis Scythe

Recommended Skills:
Artisan(duh, if you're using Fatalis scythe, Snow Blossom or Exceed Beat)
Reckless Abandon +3 or +2

Items to bring:
Book of Combos 1-4(to make lifepowders successful often at combining)
10 Potion(a neccessary lifesaver)
10 Mega potion(duh)
Ancient Potion(it's g-rank c'mon, you want to die? so bring this very often)
10 Lifecrystal
10 Wyvern Claw(to make more lifepowders)
3 Lifepowder
Powercharm
Powertalon
Armorcharm
Armortalon
10 Well-done steak(duh)
10 Whestone(duh)
(optional) Farcaster(if you're about to get killed)
(optional)Mega Demondrugs(if you love power to get it done easily)

Strategy:
My Favourite weapon type to use against Yamatsukami just mainly because it's stab attack can reach its tentacle when it doesnt slams. Usually when fighting Yamatsukami with your LS unsheathed, you may one to stick to moving to the side when he turns on you because you dont want to be a sea food to him right? So wait it out until he does the whisker slam or quadruple tentacle slam then you can slash around it. When in rage mode, don't even think about attacking it around(even the front) when it slams it's whiskers because sometimes it sucks you with it's Wind Tunnel & you're way a food if you keep attack it around while it is open to attacks. Rinse & repeat until you have him for your octopus sushi dinner but dont forget to sharpen your weapon or recover your health if neccessary after you duck down to wait 'til Yamatsukami's Spin attack came to a halt.

Dual Sword(Updated)
Recommended Weapon:
Silhoutte sabers
Black wing edge or Hidden daggers
Holy Knight Sabers
Deadly Ceanataurs

Recommended Skill:
Artisan(reccomended for silhouett sabers but optional to hidden daggers, holy knight sabers or deadly ceanaturs)
Reckless Abandon +3 or +2
Sharp sword(ABSOLUTELY reccomended because when you use devilish dance you lose sharpness easily)

Items to bring:
Book of Combos 1-4(to make lifepowders successful often at combining)
10 Potion(a neccessary lifesaver)
10 Mega potion(duh)
Ancient Potion(it's g-rank c'mon, you want to die? so bring this very often)
10 Lifecrystal
10 Wyvern Claw(to make more lifepowders)
3 Lifepowder
Powercharm
Powertalon
Armorcharm
Armortalon
5 Well-done steak
5 Power extract(to make more Mega juice)
10 Whestone(duh)
5 Mega juice(absolutely reccomended because you dont want to get sick of having your stamina losing every demon mode you gone through)
(optional) Farcaster(if you're about to get killed)
(optional) Mega Demondrugs(if you love power to get it done easily)
(optional) Power juice(if you are sick of gypceroses or you dont have 5 alchemy jewels & 5 Dragon seeds)

Strategy:
Ugh, not my favourite because it loses sharpness if you use devilish dance often but forget it, everyone knows it so deal with it. Mainly the cons for demonizing this flying octopus with dual swords is your Devilish dance combo is limited around once he slams his tentacles with devilish dance but the pros is you can spam devilish dance around it once he slams it's whiskers or both his tentacles & whiskers(nets you 4 to 5 devilish dance). Like the LS strategy, you may one to move to the side because being on the front is risky since it's attack focuses on the front. Anyway, in rage mode, use the devilish dance ONLY 1 OR 2 TIMES when he already slams his whiskers because you dont want to end up as a food am I right? So yeah, as long you spam the devilish dance at a part of yamatsukami while his whiskers are latched, you might have to look carefully otherwise you end up as a food again. Rinse & repeat until you have a dead octopus & you're done but to me it takes longer because I was carrying Power Juices then I used up my Power juice.

Sword & Shield
Recommended Weapons:
Shadow Sword Eve or Hidden Edge
Daora's Razor

Recommended Skills:
Artisan(for those who's using Daora's Razor)
Reckless Abandon +3 or +2

Items to bring:
Book of Combos 1-4(to make lifepowders successful often at combining)
10 Potion(a neccessary lifesaver)
10 Mega potion(duh)
Ancient Potion(it's g-rank c'mon, you want to die? so bring this very often)
10 Lifecrystal
10 Wyvern Claw(to make more lifepowders)
3 Lifepowder
Powercharm
Powertalon
Armorcharm
Armortalon
10 Well-done steak(duh)
10 Whestone(duh)
(optional) Farcaster(if you're about to get killed)
(optional)Mega Demondrugs(if you love power to get it done easily)

Strategy:
Using Sns against Yamatsukami is better if you had no better control over dual swords because you can hit it's tentacle with versatility & even the mouth when it's dispersing great thunderbugs but unlike the Dual Sword however, you can reach Yamatsukami's tentacles with a Jumping Slash but if you're on the other side then either hit the other tentacle or the whisker after yamatsukami slams it's other tentacle. When using Sns, I dont reccomend to block his attacks because most of it's attack can take away a large amount of stamina even the wind tunnel (this also applies to Lance & Gunlance Strategy). Rinse & repeat until you have Yamatsukami dead but this strategy is much similar than it's dual counterpart but different function & pros/cons.

*note: ill be taking a break from this guide from now on*

*major spoiler: due to my 2ndG glitched(after showing the message that 2ndG is checking, it locks the back ground with nothing on it instantly so i might redownload it) so im very very very bobba sorry so this guide will not be written once my 2ndG is redownloaded*

==[YamaAttention 0.9]Attention==
Please note that before this guide is finished or after this guide is finished, i'll be deciding whether to put this on the mhwiki or not because this guide strictly does not want to be in the center of your own personal controversies no matter what. Also, do not copy & paste to your site because even you give credit, it still counts as plagiarism.
