MH is an rpg though >.> Not the typical one but still either way the game looks very fun, but sadly it goes under another rpg set to release on the wii u for me personally. So this would be bought after depending when the games come out. Still looking forward to it.

I always saw MH as action/adventure where they added a little plot... but not really an RPG in the traditional sense of the word. I see where you come from though.

The new battling system in FF is very reminicent of MH to me, specially those boss battles they demoed. I have yet to miss a FF release (with the exception of FFX & FFX-2 ...

Hopefully there is a setting to disable the particle effects though...

that's not MH and an RPG mixed. It's just final fantasy.

How is Final Fantasy like Monster Hunter in the slightest?

It looks better than any of thebp FF games after 9 so far. If they can't have turned based RPG's as good as they used to be, it could at least be a nice action RPG.

Big roaming monsters where you actually have to dodge to not get hit instead of a turned based, magic system.

I didn't say it was exactly like monster hunter, but it has elements of it. This game is set more like Final Fantasy Crystal bearers, mixed with some Legend of Mana, but it does well in putting bigger than life monster hunter style fighting.

Thanks for letting me know about X DCJ, looking into it.

Eh it looks okay, but square will have to prove that they can make a good final fantasy again.

Also it's not like MH at all.

I guess it's slightly more like MH. At least in the fact that it's not turn-based, and that movement and such actually become important. Can't really tell yet if dodging attacks will be important though. Kinda like the amount of movement/dodging/timing in the God of War series i imagine?

Personally, i'd really like to see them go back to the basics, at least for once.
