Any one been watching E3 this year?

It started off yesterday with the Nintendo World Championships (US only of course) and followed with a few announcements from Bethesda.

The NWC went quite well and announced Ryu and Roy for Smash which released last night as well as several music tracks from Street Fighter and new levels.

Also Mother (Earthbound Beginnings) was released on the WiiU eshop.

Bethesda showed off a new Doom and Fallout...

Today Microsoft had a quite good XB1 conference only talking about games this year. They showed off several new games to include Halo 5 but the big showcase was a game from Keiji Inafune (creator of megaman) and from the group that did the Metroid prime series (now under their own studio).Phazon Xenomorph will like it.

Tonight will be Playstation and tomorrow Nintendo. Should be a little for everyone.

So far so good. I wasn't even remotely interested in Fallout 4, but I'm super stoked for it after that demo.

Nintendo will have to do something insane to beat Sony.

Metroid Xtreme Beach Volley Ball will suffice.

Depends.. Last year Nintendo pretty much devoured the other two just by showing a video with a whole bunch of talking toys...

Do have to say though sony knows how to draw people in. Not interested in another thing dealing with FF7 but the crowd ate it up and the other shown games were quite popular.

Micro I don't think came close to Sony other than ReCore trailer. So it really all depends on what Nin has to announce. And so far it's already announced a bit even before their Direct announcement.

MHX anyone ;)

Blech. The Nintendo Digital Event was pretty underwhelming. The height of interest was Star Fox, and even then we didn't really learn much. Out of the big 3, Sony easily won.

Sony easily won. Nintendo wasn't bad, but was pretty underwhelming. Star Fox 0, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam were the only things I got super excited about. Oh yeah Animal Crossing Party looked rad.

I keep trying to be interested in SMT x FE, but fucking christ that trailer destroyed any interest I had left in it.

SMT fan all the way.

As far as presentation I think Nintendo had the best... As far as games shown, yeah that has to go to Sony.

Sony has some good games backing it and though it only mentioned that the vita will get some of the new games as well and didn't do much else for it.. At least they mentioned it.

Most of Nintendo's stuff had already been shown or talked about at some point so release dates and new trailers aren't very impressive. Nintendo has a lot of games coming out on the 3ds and WiiU like Bloodstain which uses the unreal 4 engine and several other Japan localizations like Fatal Frame 5, they just seemed more focused on their main brands which not everyone wants to keep hearing about.

Sadly Microsoft pretty much left themselves out. They don't seem to know what to talk about. Last year it was all about the Kinect and what the xb1 could do as a non-gaming system. This year they focused on games but only one (ReCore) was interesting.

nintendo's showing was beyond shit, i wish they would have just not even done e3 if they aren't going to announce anything.

Nintendo really let me down with this new Metroid game. Looks like a kids game FFS. This is a disgrace to the serious and mature setting Metroid Prime has established. The only thing I wanted from that is Xenoblade X and the new FE game.

I wanted to watch the Square conference for Deus Ex but oh my god the conference was so bad and boring that I fell asleep.

Nintendo basically didn't seem to care at all about E3 this year. The Fire Emblem game, I could not care less about, because Fire Emblem: If will be infinitely better anyway and will be the one to deserve my attention. Most of the things are just tame holdovers, probably while they're working on other stuff for later years.

Their best one was Super Mario Maker, and that was revealed earlier at the NWC, and FE:If has been known about for quite a while, so it didn't really bother me that there was nothing new. There are those two, plus Mario Tennis, and I'll easily be fine with them alongside MH Cross.

Sony did have some good stuff, but ew Kingdom Hearts, ew Final Fantasy, ehhh....

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here as "The Fire Emblem Game" is FE: IF just renamed Fates in the west.

If you are talking about the SMTxFE game, a lot of people are looking forward to it. Especially Persona fans as it's more Persona with FE characters and battle scenes than anything.

Checked the eshop after the video and they actually had new videos for a lot of games they didn't talk about during E3. They had a New Fatal Frame 5 video and several others. A bit disappointing some of the great games that are coming out from Nintendo weren't talked about but leftovers put on the eshop for whoever might find them.

Though I still think Nintendo had the beter presentation with Sony having better game announcements, I think most had higher expectations on what Nintendo was going to show. New games, f-zero (though fast racing neo is coming out and was left as an eshop video), and a full scale Metroid game not just a 3ds game (it looks good IMO just not what everyone wanted.)

So basically it wasn't bad... just unexpected and let down from what most were hoping for.

the thing with nintendo is as i think that they want to save a lot till next year to either put on the NX (even the Metroid Prime producer said a full scale Metroid prime would take to long to develop to be for WiiU at this point in time) or they want to bring out some great WiiU/3DS titles next year to show that they won't let down the support for them eveen though the NX will be coming out soon...

but yeah in general the nintendo presentation was prety underwhelming. Mario & Luigi Paper Jam looks pretty interesting other than that i'm only interested in games i already knew about (mostly yokai watch, and Chibi Robo Zip Lash looks kinda fun too) don't have a WiiU so i didn't put too much atention on those games

nah they couldn't show fatal frame, they needed 20 minutes of mario maker, something we knew about last year and don't even care about that much at this point because we know it backwards and forwards.
