I might get in on this. Maybe. We'll see. I currently have a bunch of other things to be addicted to, so if the language barrier is too big I might pass.

This is too good to be true and to save myself the disappointment I deny it entirely.

You make it sound like p2p games are much better there are some like frontier has premium courses extra courses on top with the initial sub so they can easily liove off that f2p doesn't always mean p2w especially with how monster hunter is run you are still going to be grinding non stop regardless of the subs you run on top of your main one.

f2p=/=p2w
Look at TF2 if you need proof.

Unless absolutely everything that is for sale is just fluff, and has no impact on gaming (no experience gains, no weapons, no armor, no advantages whatsoever), then the use of any money for said advantage constitutes P2W. Because you are paying for an advantage (Win).

If everything is for fluff, then I don't mind dishing out some money for a game I enjoy playing. The moment it translates into any type of advantage, I can't afford that game (morally).

I completely agree. The entire basis of the gaming community is equal footing for the gamers involved. The moment that equilibrium is disrupted, the game no longer has any structure whatsoever. Then there is the aspect of your own principles that define you as a person that go beyond your self made gaming persona and sometimes in your life you just have to stand up for yourself and say "I'm not part of the system" After all any game that requires you to sacrifice your own moral integrity is a game that isn't worth it.

While it's great the other servers might come back, as much as I love the idea of Frontier I refuse to play a game I cannot read or understand. I don't care if there's websites that can show mediocre translations, I want the official translations by Capcom or nothing at all. Personally I say yall should ignore the Taiwan servers and not give them support, wait for them to bring it here or not at all. But ultimately it's yalls choice to play.

Release date for this game (Called now Monster Hunter Frontier G2), has been slated for November 27, 2014.

"Free" to play... in other words, heavily inconvenienced so you have to pay money to be competitive.

I wonder if a non-eastern audience is allowed to play though...

Really depends on if they change their model completely or not since if uses the old model without a sub wall it's going to be an incoveneince one way or the other.

So.. I feel kind of obligated to reply, since I'm mentioned in the topic :P

The reason I haven't yet up to now, is because there wasn't an open beta, and my sources aren't fluent in Chinese either.

Anyways. if you go here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and choose the second option, easy register will be enough Yes by vort Then, go here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and set your timezone to Teipei, it should set you up to play until 12/4, and supposedly until HR100. After that it's 10 a month.

Don't take my word for law though, because a lot of information is gotten second hand. I can confirm that right now you can log in and play for free, but I'm not sure how long it lasts.

And in case I need to make it clear, play nice, and behave. Don't screw this up for the rest of us Yes by vort

Yep... it is open and free. The players are nice as well, but it is easier to remain quiet than try to say anything in English... Like Vampess said, don't ruin things for those of us who want to play... heck, I wont mind giving money to play this game either, if they only ported it over...

Here's hoping for a localized version of Frontier.

I must say.... not knowing the language can be an impediment early on.. specially on the tutorial. Remember to "read" all the instructions, so that the guy can continue to advance the initial quests.

If you can get through the tutorial, you can probably get very far in the game.
