7* Advice? ( I'm back~ )

I'm currently preparing to fight the Jade Barroth ( I'm aware it's a pain for noobies, not so much myself; past seven fights have been me getting bored ), and I was just wondering what kind of armor/weapons I might look for in the meantime. I currently have Red Wing for this fight, and I'm wearing Volvidon armor. I'm curious as to any improvements that can be made, especially for later fights ( such as Jinouga and Brachydios ).
