help with shen gaoren

im on the 9 star elder quest and cannot beat the Approaching gaoren quest .ill have 50 fortress integrity when the time runs out but i still fail.plz help

you need to inflict more damage to the monster.

much like making him weak before the time runs out.

maximize the time and damage him alot.

all you need to do is get an ok sword a bow wont really help then attack his legs get them about ready to flinch when he attacks make him flinch then when he falls attack his face thats what will pwn him

i used to use great sword against him, double inflaming the legs make him inmobilized for 1 minute. Now I use bow or bowgun, I find it much easier to battle him and more fun. You'll need flame, normal2/3, Pierce1/2/3, and 99 huckberry+needleberry. Use a high dmg bowfun that can fire those shots and keep hitting him from the backside. Nothing more epic then pierce lvl3

i recommend using a bowgun that can rapidfire ammo. since there's so much bowguns to choose from, try searching for one that can rapidfire pierce lvl 1, bring huskberries and velociprey fangs.. dont be shy, bring the whole batch if you can! but the most important thing of all is that you make sure that you have the felyne heroics and/or have an adrenaline+2 skill on your armor. the Rajang armor S gunner set can do that for you and the best thing about that armor is that it's already setup to be one of the deadliest armors in the whole game since it has the gunnery king skill, adrenaline+2 and stealth! no need to put any decorations on it. if you need one, try the pierceSup or the bomber jewel if the weapon has more slots. this setup can bring down the G rank shen gaoren and even lao shan lung with ease.. yes, im telling you, you can slay the beast.. solo.

if you wanna try a different approach, try using dual blades with fire attribute.. the corpse rippers dual blades can easily inflame the legs and maim the beast in no time. just avoid being stepped on. dont use runner skill but bring lots of mega juice and power juice. focus on skills that has sharpness+1, sharp sword and attack up large or any of the 3 skills.

akantor bow=easy
fatalis bow=easy
destiny's hand=easy
dual dragon ultimas=easy

For 9 star, im not sure what weapons a good idea. But technique should be the same.

Go for one leg at a time. Once one leg turns red, move on to the next. Once all 4 are red, repeat until all are bright red. If at any point it falls, go for its face. Once all 4 legs are bright red and you deal some more damage after, itll fall, and itll stay down for a while. Use this chance to go for the face, and maybe bomb it there if you can.

Once it gets back up, repeat the process.

For bowgunners, cannons and ballistas are more useful as well. They deal a fixed amount of damage which is a fair bit of damage to boot. Go for its face with these. When yer down with it, go for the legs again. I hear that if yer on a bridge, and it does its acid shot thing, you can jump on its back and Anti Dragon Bomb it there, which is supposed to do some heavy damage.

you can defeat that shit if u! hit him in the legs all 4 of them and if it is red attack the other 1. So that he will fall 3 to 5 sec....!!!!!! :D before i get that idea I try it 3x to figured it out.....!!!! :evil:
