| Now i've seen people make their own sets and really great skills on them, and i always wonder "how do they do that? how do they make such great sets.." now i kind of wish to make my own epic sets xD, thing is i am really not great at it..anyone got any tips on making your own sets? i know the wiki is helpful as you can see what each piece gives you. just need some tips to get started lol, then i suppose with practice you would get better with each set. Thanks in advance. |

Around the bottom of the armour guide it actually gives you advice on how to make your own armour sets.
As well as providing opinions on some armour set's uses.
But IMO most hybrids revolve heavily on a decent talisman for what you want. |

| That's one thing that bugs the hell out of me. Getting the charm you want for that dream armor set is almost impossible. Too bad you cant build charms, still generates random skills on it but you could narrow it down to a type of charm to make it a little more likely you'll get it by putting some decently rare items into crafting them |

| Use the armor skill list to find out which armors have the skill you want. since although rathalos has attack up M, on Barroth+ you can get better skill points and slots on pieces of the armor. Some armors have extra skill points that are never used, for example Leather armor having +1 attack on some of the armor parts. Make sure you have specific skills in mind, and don't worry too much about looks.
Finally, practice makes perfect. |

This page: http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Charm_Guide can help to figure out where to farm the charm you want, if you decide to go that (painstaking and uncertain) route, so you don't go doing 6* quests if you want a charm with Guard.
Not that I speak from personal experience on that last bit... of course not. |

| I've seen that, the chart is very helpful in getting my hopes up with "wow I could possibly get this combo!" If...I get the right base charm to drop, then it appraises into the right one to give me the skill sets/slot combo I want, then I get the skill I want from the skill sets... The odds are definitely stacked against. |

| Also i doub tyou havent seen the armor simulator sticky yet, but here´s the link anyways: http://mhwiki.forumotion.net/monster-hunter-3-f4/online-armor-simulator-t1644.htmHere you can "make" sets and the program will show what skills you have and such, much easier than writing things down =) When i make armor combo's i always think of 2/3 skills i want first, then i look if there is already an existing combo for this. If this isnt the case i often find some set almost similair to it, so i take that set and modify it to have the skills i want. Then when i'm done i look if it's possible to add another skill through gemming, most of the times it is easily possible to "finish" a skill that was already on the set because of the parts you used. If you have +7 something for example you'll only need about 1/2/3 slot for this =) |

Same, I have the same issue tbh :P, think of what would go well with your weapon as well though, otherwise get evasion or an utility skill instead. |

| Well it's easier to get the Helios+ to use in the hybrid, but you're not high enough yet and Jhen+ isn't available atm.
Easiest way to get it in is by using torso up on a helios+, and use a skull mask and vangis, vangis and uragaan boots, just the vangis and helios boots, or the skull mask with helios boots.
Pretty sure there are plenty of other methods though those are just my favourites.
