Ok dual topic time:

1. Last night Tally, Orion, Serukujo (best random ever), and myself were farming Jhen+ and got one of the fastest times I believe have ever been posted for high rank Jhen...23:59, and this may or may not have been the run were I missed the first Dragonator

Also today was farming more Jhen+ with Orion, Matt, and J Fizzle when Matt disconnects somewhere around the 15minute mark, I asked if we should abandon but decided to continue in hopes of a repel...we managed to kill it with somewhere around 3minutes to spare

2. What is the most efficient way to farm for Rathalos Plates? I'm assuming it would be in the online High Rank KILL quest (due to the higher carve rate) in which we break his face and sever & carve his tail before ending via subquest. Is this method the best way to get Rathalos Plates?

Well...12% do sound convincing. But if you're doing the high rank quests, breaking the head will not reward you with a plate. This only works in low rank quests with a 3% wound reward chance. Personally, I'd just do the hr51 Double Trouble and farm for charms and seals while I'm at it. Some rubies would be nice, too, since you don't get these from sub rewards. On the other hand, if it's ONLY about plates, that tail-carve-end-via-subquest sounds like the best solution.

As I recall it was 23:39 or :36. Unless you wrote it down. It was on the second run I was in, though, in which you did hit with the first dragonator.

It may be a shameless plug, but I believe that my work bowgunning for the first stage may have weakened him in that stage far enough that he was able to be killed so fast.

I doubt I dealt as much damage as you other guys in the second stage, but surely helped there too.


And I hear the best ways to get Rathalos plates would be for the Rathian+Rathalos 6-star quest, or offline (higher drop rates to compensate for playing alone or something). I need about 5 of themso I'd be happy to join you.


Edit: If we do tail-carve and end, I'd also be welcome to going Para-bowgun for that.
