| Here is a tutorial on how to set up Ad-Hoc party and join other MHFU players Required Materials- PSP
- PS3 (40gb or higher)
- Ethernet Cable
- Ad-Hoc Party for PS3
- PSN account (So you can download Ad-Hoc Party)
- Ad-Hoc multiplayer game (Our case MHFU)
Tutorial Connect your PS3 to the internet with an ethernet cable. Now make sure you have downloaded Ad-Hoc Party. Next connect your PSP upto the PS3 via a USB cable and then on the PS3 go to the settings and add your PSP to your device list (remote play setup) this is what pairs your PSP with your PS3 Next fire up Ad-Hoc Party and (make sure you WLAN switch is on, on your psp) select " Search For Game" on Ad-Hoc Party. Now on your PSP go into the Ad-Hoc compatible multiplayer (for monster hunter freedom unite it would be the online guild). After that is done you can back out and customly select a world to go in. The world are seperated by 10 letters A-J. Within each are 64 lobbies. You can say something like "D32" to refer to "World D lobby 32." You may also keep the room the " Search For Game" search gave you but the custom world/lobby setup is great for meeting up with people privately. Congratulations, you are now using Ad-Hoc Party to play online with other Monster Hunters. [Hope this gets stickied ] EDIT: Thanks for the Stick xD

| It's been a while since I did it but when I got it working , I had to connect the PSP upto the PS3 via a USB cable - then on the PS3 you add a remote device - this is what paired the PSP to the PS3.
After that it should pick up your PSP (if the wlan switch is on) using the wireless router (assuming you have one)
It was a while ago but I think that's what I had to do. |

| Okay, if I set up my PSP which I will be buying in a few months hopefully, to go on the internet with Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, would I be on a global server able to play with people all over the world in spite of it being the English language Western version of the game? Ad hoc is not region locked is it? |

Im not sure, i think the only difference is there is a japanese and english version, as long as you have the same version it's pretty much global. |
