So... I am not a big fan of ranged weapons.... I mainly use DS , LS , Hammmers , SnS etc etc. But on some occasions using a H.Bowgun/Bow/L.Bowgun is needed (more like demanded).... For example , on the Nekoht Monoblos(White and Normal together) quest i haven't been able to bring even one down with a True devilslicer.... So my "master" (who shall remain unnamed for no apparent reason) told me to try sniping them off.... He also said that there are many sniping locations in the Old Desert that you can get them to hit the ledges too with their horns..... He didn't remember where and so I thought i would ask you guys....

And so I made this thread for general stuff over Sniping!

Share sniping tips , stories and questions :P

So.....does anyone know where those sniping points in the old jungle are?

If its the one I'm thinking of in the 'new' Desert, it's that blue area (neutral temp.) at the top of the map with the large rock in the middle and a river at the edge of the map, which the plesioth travels through. Well that rock stump in the middle is prone to horns becoming stuck in it.

I'm pretty certain that that is one of only two areas in MHFU, in which a horned/fanged monster can become stuck in a wall (the other being the Tigrex getting his teeth stuck in the wall on area 8 of the Snowy Mtns.

idk about old desert (i might check later...) but there is way more than 2 areas in mhfu where monsters can get their horns stuck...

come to think of it, the original mh had areas like that. so yes the old desert has some. only one i can remember is the original mh monoblos spawn point, the area near the top of the map with the ledge (to the left and down from the plesioth cave). be careful though, no ledges make you invincible, especially with that tail...

Oh I think I have an idea which one you are talking about. Is that the one with the genprey and the small ledge you can climb up on to?

Seriously, I have tried it with numerous other walls and they just seem to skim along them and hit me as I'm recovering from a panic dive lol. Where are these other areas?

I'd say that's because of their angle, the blos's have got to hit the wall dead on in order to get stuck. Rage mode may or may not affect their chances of getting stuck too (speculation).
