MHFU monster list error, help would be appreciated

I have recently picked up MHFU and have been playing about 60 hours when I noticed that my monster list is now saying "none purchased" although I have purchased all of the books available to me. When I go to the shop it shows the books as purchased and are not able to be purchased a second time. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to fix it without starting completely over? I also notice that my guild card shows all the monster names as ????.

start a new account, and see if it does the same thing

the succeeding books will be available as you rank up
