So basically, Well-Done Podcast's host MoisesL and Monster Hunter Podcast's Shepard (Social Dissonance) are pushing Capcom into promoting Monster Hunter Portable 3rd into the west. All we know is that Capcom is considering to release Monster Hunter Portable 3rd into the west but we want to make Capcom take actions of its consideration!

Now to help us gain support is fairly simple.

I really like the idea of this project.

Though having imported MHP3rd back in December 2010, an English port would be great to boost the series a bit.

MH always stood out unique among some games. While reading a Nintendo magazine called NGamer I came across a MH3 preview. I thought "this is the kind of game that I would be interested in!"
So following some more previews in later issues I decided that I needed this game.
I went out and bought MH3 as soon as I could (2 days after release) and just rocked that shit. Played offline for about 2 hours or so and then instantly hopped online. It was great, as I was looking for an amazing online game like this. Hell I even skipped school the next day to play MH3 online. This was back when we were all rocking those newbie weapons on Barroth, R. Luddie... Nobody cared if you were good or bad, we were all new to this.

The next month I got a PSP, MHF1 and MHFU. Both provided me with great entertainment while on holidays abroad. I still played Tri all day every day during the summer holidays that year and I loved it.

I forget when, but I searched up the MH wiki before going on holidays. Great help for me in Tri.
Then while on holidays abroad I started using it again for MHFU. Got a bit active in the wiki community by using the chatbox (wiki one, not forum) and met some pretty cool people there like Sentoryu_Raven.
Then I joined the forums and here I am, replying to this thread with a big wall of text regarding my history in MH and why I like it.
Hell, I haven't really stated what I love most about it.

I love the customization options, how you can use so many different weapons, how there's always an armor mix for every situation. Just the amount of content is amazing for what it is.

I wish Shepard and MoisesL the best of luck with the project and I will also support it on Capcom-Unity when I get the chance. Hopefully Capcom will see how much fans want this game and will localize it in the west.

operation START

I LOVE MH because of the infinite replay value and the fact that it has a really awesome community. Tri was my first MH and when I was a total and complete noob no one told me I was stupid and sucked they instead helped by giving me lots of advice as I learned the way that the game plays. I have several friends who play MH and only one of them would not buy P3rd but thats because he doesn't have a PS3/PSP. The rest of them all would VERY happily buy P3rd and so would I(Assuming you guys are releasing the HD version here which you better be cus im dirt poor and don't wanna buy a PSP) I mean seriously look at how Tri and MHFU have sold they are both some of the best selling games for there respective consoles. I mean Freedom Unite is second only in sales to P3rd so it would be dumb of you to not release it in the west as you would DEFINITELY make profit off it. There THAT is my rant on why P3rd needs to see the west

I imported 3rd, but as a fan of MH I want it in the West in general.



Monster Hunter Tri was my first game, and I remember how I got into it. Awhile back, picking up Nintendo Power was pretty much a monthly ritual for me. One day I was just sitting around reading it, when I get down to the reviews section. I read the huge review of Monster Hunter Tri, and I'm in love with it. Now at the time, I did not have the money to buy it. Accouple months later ENTIRELY on a whim I go out and buy it, go home, begin playing, and fall in love. Later I buy a PSP and Freedom Unite, and fall deeper in love with the series.

What I love about the series is the fact that the only thing truly linear are the quests. What armors and weapons I end up with are entirely my choice. Not only that but with each monster I need to adapt to how it moves, how much it damages me, what weapons and skills are going to benefit me. Sometimes to beat one monster I've had to go back and fight other monsters to do it. Each monster hits differently, moves differently, and is hurt more by different things. I love the sense of accomplishment I get from it. I enjoy a lot of other games, but none really give you the hurdles that Monster Hunter does, and when I finally beat that hurdle and I can keep moving forward to what I wanted to get to, best feeling in the world. I love it, I love it, I love it, and I want to see more of it in the West. And Portable 3rd is more of it.

I like the idea. But personally i think it's a total waste of time. Capcom doesn't care about you or the several hundred people that might want 3rd imported. Hell we waited 3 years for mhf2g to get sent overseas. Also you might want to get better players to make vids since that vid i saw more upswings than i do when i play god of war.

Ive already posted in the capcom unity forum section about operation cherry blossom thread, hopefully this will convince capcom to give us the game in the west

I'd love to see a Monster Hunter P3rd release in Europe. I'm totally addicted to Tri, it's the game I've played the most. I like everything about it, preparing for quests, slaughtering monsters, the different weapons type, building armor sets, the armor skill system, grinding monsters for rare drops, the talks in the tavern with fellow players... I very much support this idea and sincerely hope Capcom will release MHP3rd in Europe and North - America.
