PostXenoblade Chronicles

First rule of this thread. No moaning, whining or other form of grumbling if you're from the NA region.

Just wondering who else will be getting this when it comes out in EU regions tomorrow. I pre-ordered it myself on Tuesday, and will play it to death next week.

I shall update this with opinions sometime in the afternoon tomorrow with my thoughts on it after playing for a while.

Well, after playing some 5 or 6 hours, I think I'm familiar enough with it now.

To start off, the game looks pretty good. All the models look great for Wii standard but some textures look awful blurry and stretched in some places, but overall it looks pretty good as you won't notice too many flaws unless you nitpick at them (cough flat stairs with just texture cough).

The battle system is amazing and offers much freedom as to what you do and don't want to fight. I love it, it's my kind of battle system. :D

The game sounds great too, but you might find the voice acting a bit funny at first. Though I'm sure you'll get used to it eventually like I did.

Though it might take a couple of hours to actually get sucked in to the gameplay, it's a great RPG and I suggest trying it if you are a fan of RPGs.
Also, the game is selling amazingly over here in Europe, so a US release is likely as well.

Just made a quick call to the local store. They still have it in stock, so I'll probably pick it up when my dad gets back home.

:I
I was unaware this game was on a DL disc until my wii failed to read it, same thing eventually happened with Brawl..

The game looks amazing and once this lens cleaner arrives, it should be able to load up. xP

37 hours in, I can safely say that the story is one of the best I have ever known in a game. I had my suspicions about...something..., but when the game confirmed them - in a 40-ish minute long cutscene - it still blew my mind slightly.

Man you guys are lucky. It looks like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter all rolled into one. I certainly hope it's popular enough to get a US release :,<

So many quests, so little time...

The amount of quests is huge. I'm still in Colony 9 and I'm havin' an overload of requests. But that's fine. I like to be busy.
About the game, I'm about 3 hours in, and I'm loving it. The combat system is better then what I expected, it's really nice. The graphics are far above the general average Wii game. The story is still in an early stage (ofcourse) but it seems interesting.

And I just found out that if you register your copy on Club Nintendo before 30th September, you can download the offical soundtrack for free. This is my favourite track, though the whole thing is fantastic

semi spoiled myself ._. but confirmed suspicions.... one thing I don't like about the game is some quests require me to "exploit" to save time XD such as reloading my save until a certain monster spawns... meeeeh gotta do what ya gotta do, i guess.

You just made my day. On my birthday, no less, lol (though this post is coming 40+ minutes after... lol)
I absolutely LOVE the music in the game and was planning on getting the soundtrack when I could find it. You've saved me having to do that!

I've been playing the game all day, and man, is there a lot to do! I've only recently left Colony 9, and so far, I'm very impressed. I think it was amazing how they set up the story, though at the hands of an unfortunate event. I love how Monolithsoft have succeeded at making an RPG entertaining within the first few hours of play, while Square Enix failed to do so for the full length of their latest instalment to the Final Fantasy series. It makes me happy to know that there are companies out there who can still make good RPGs.

If Nintendo of America don't localise this for the US, then you poor Americans have been robbed of a brilliant game, in a year that has been clouded with overly average or terrible games, as far as I can recall. So far, the story has been great, and I'm really curious to find out where events will take the party. I've actually only stopped for the night, because I'm starting to feel tired... xD

1. The download file for the OST on Club Nintendo barely works apparently, loads of people, including me, weren't downloading the full thing, it kept finishing at 90-100mb out of 118. -.-

2.‎
*yawn* Nothing to do today... time for some Xenoblade.
*start game*
*continue*
*File 1*
"Reading disk..."
0_0' ooook...
*few seconds later*
Ah there we go, right lets scrap some mech- *DISK ERROR. Please eject disk and turn off power to the Wii console. Refer to the Wii Operations Manual for details*

Oh cock.

Fucken Wii.

Okay, so I downloaded the music but for some odd reason WinRar refuses to unpack it.
