Online is just extra not the actual game. For MH3G you have a whole offline game than the local multiplayer. Soo why wouldn't people get it if there was a fee for something extra they don't have to play.

If they make online, lets hope they dont put to much so we dont lose so much when the sever closes(if it ever happens(online))
And being a portable one, all the items, monsters etc will be avaivable solo right?

There should be a full single player game. Most likely pre-G rank. Than a separate one that should include G rank for multiplayer. Online may even add a 3rd mode beyond the other two.

You mean a G-rank for solo and a G-rank for multiplayer?

No. You will have a solo play game like you did In tri. Then you will have G-rank for local multiplayer, then you will have additional g-rank quests and monsters for online. So basically 3 different levels of play.

I do agree that online is an extra for games that have offline modes, but i do feel that the western version should have online play. Local multiplayer works better in japan than it does in america since it is smaller and they seem to see their friends on a daily basis down there unless their friends live out of the country. plus mh is a huge hit in the japan and as the creators of mh say nearly everyone plays it there at school, on breaks, in most of thier free time etc. its kinda like the 3ds spot pass feature it works alot better there than here due to how often they see comrades that play the system at school, on subways etc. its a smaller town in japan down here i feel most including myslef dont see our friends often so if they did put modes or certain features only on local play id pretty much be done at single player. Due to that I do feel that the game should have online for the western version, but like you said before I wouldnt mind paying for it at all for a reasonable fee since it would lead to better maintence for the online features

I want every quest avaivable for solo and local mp, but more for solo, that way if you dont have friends that have this game, you will not lose something you want.
(ex: there is a monster only to local mp and you want to fight it but you have no one to play with then what? or that the missions of local mp are avaivable for donwload content or something like that)
Tomorrow is the day, lets see what they have! /yes/ Rage by sipax

Alright, just saw it. Here are the few things I managed to pick up... that aren't about western release.

1. Dec.10 date for Japan.
2. Monster get new attacks (of course), I saw Giggles with it's tail over it's back, Jhen blasting a sandstorm beam out it's mouth, and... that's all I caught.
3. Lagi can now go into area 7 of Moga woods through the lake there.
4. Yoshi really uses his arms to attack a lot, but didn't see much of him fighting.
5. Bow will still curve down in water... so prepare to attack from way above if you're far away.

Oh, and after the interview following thing there was another preview. In it a hunter ran from Tigrex, jumping across pillars as Tigrex wrecked them, before climbing up a cliff and meeting Rathalos. Rath blew a fireball and made the Tigrex behind the hunter fall off by angling the stone they were standing on, before the hunter starts hopping across the cliff as Rathalos chases him from the air, blowing fireballs and all that. It even tries to grab him before being deflected. Hunter jumps on his back, hacks at him a bit before both land on ground. Rath roars and...

Monster Hunter 4 (is in the works)

And got beaten to the punch xD

Didn't see it right away, sorry xP

But still no confirmation about MHTriG western release? I know 4 might have blown it out of the water but I'm still VERY interested in that info.

I am, but it's going to be after MHTriG. I won't be able to sink my claws into it anytime soon, but TriG is right over the horizon. I'd rather get excited for the one that is closer~ /yes/

(And then the other when it's being released~)

I was not flat out stated, however, most of the information put out and games announced has been said to be releasing world wide... 3DS 3D video Recording, 3D anime channle, most games and other stuff.. So the likely hood is good.
