High Rank Tigrex!!

What armor should I use for the hr6 2 Tigrex urgent quest? I have a ceanatuar U helmet and UltimateIndra for the rest of my armor. I doubt that I'll finish this before I get replies like last time.

Ravager blade+ or w/e the highest level of it is that you can acess. garuga mask + full armor.

gs against tiggy is easy mode. As long as a level 3 charge to tiggys head is a stagger he's piss easy as long as you learn his moves.

Don't remind me that I have to do this Urgent. >_< Tigrex is one monster that plagues me. It's on my mortal enemies list alongside Diablos. In Portable 3rd normal and especially Black Tiggy terrorize me. In Unite it's even more so. Seriously, Tiggy just doesn't stop his onslaught. I just don't want to imagine what two Tiggies in one area are capable of doing. >_<

"full armor" ? what's that? BTW I have a Hidden Saber or something like that.

I made a Garuga Mask and upgraded it untill it needs Heavy Armor Spheres. What's next?

you want my opinion, obituary S bowgun armor, a good 2-3 slot lbg, gem for elemental attack up, thunder s and normal 2 s, and just don't stand in front often, just remember stuff to make more ammo.

oops.... I forgot to say that i'm a blademaster.... I tried using a bowgun once.... it hardly did anything.

Well, for a blademaster, ultimate indra is best if your spearing him. As for my idea, obituary S blademaster armor may also be helpful if you gs him. As long as you have a weapon with level 3 charge able to flinch him, it should'nt be such a big deal about armor, but obituary is there in case you need to dodge him if you miss. As long as you look at some charge guides on when to strike and when not to, it should be ok. Just never ever face them two-on-one. They seem to try it everytime with me.

K. I happen to have both U.Indra and Obituary S. What G.S. should I use? I know that it should be electric, but what is best for a high rank Tigrex?

Anything over 755 will stagger him on hard rank when lv 3 charging. Electric weapons are ok, but try to concentrate on getting high raw damage. MAke sure to go for the head. just make sure you look up how to correctly use gs charges on him, and hope he isn't like mine who always stick together in 2 tigrex quests

Great Sword is the best weapon to use against Tigrex once you're capable of reliably avoiding his onslaught, I ran through some calculations from RoTR http://www.reign-of-the-rathalos.com/mhp2g-mhfu/wc_mhfu/ to find out the best GS you can obtain. Providing you don't have access to the monsters like Diablos, Nargacuga and Rathalos (which required getting up to the 9* village quests), two weapons that will probably serve you well are

One is mostly Shogun Ceanataur parts and the other is Khezu parts. If you do have access to the three monsters I mentioned before, then these will do a better job than the above two

Still, good luck in clearing the urgent, its a pain in the backside.

I find it slightly easier to use a longer sword. I have noticed khezu shock blade seems a bit short. Make sure to notice the weapons length and compensate.

It doesn't matter...all weapons of the same class have exactly the same size hitboxes...

Interesting, it never seems that way to me, but I'll keep it in mind. Good luck on the tigrex, they can be a pain even for me.

I've used longswords. In a few minutes I can make a high rank Tigrex bleed and enter rage mode. But a greatsword would be helpfull for blocking. It so happens that I DO have a Khezu Shock Blade. /yes/ If I see an appealing weapon I might make it and upgrade it as well. I've done that to many weapons including like 12 great swords.. I'll try it out soon. Thanks! /yes/

I' tried it with great swords, but I still faint in a few minutes! It's not attack that I'm having problems with. it's DEFENSE. I need help on THAT.
