i myself have played 1,2 & 4 wih 4 being my favorite and nero my favorite charater but dante still ****ing rocks anyway say what your favorite thing about the games are and charater.

I've been meaning to get into the series. I'd like to start with either the original or 3. (I might skip 2 entirely because I heard it was awful) Should I start from 1 or 3?

I like the old Dante from the previous games...not DMC5 Dante. Dunno WHAT Capcom was thinking there...
Badass attitude, guns to back it up and its like he never even tries, naturally a great and interesting character to play as imo.

i was looking at a video today sapphire looks like that crack head gets to look like dante in trigger mode or something like that but still it only a short time =/ to be honest though there was no need for getting rid of his awesome looks and funnyness just hope dmc6 will be a hell of alot better when it does come out

I think you cannot judge his new incarnation until you have played the game.
It might just fit really well with an interesting story.

Time will tell.
