three questions:
1. how often does the weakened fatalis come back after you repelled him? (I repelled him two times now and wanted to know if I now have to start again)

2. to you have any recommetion for weapons to kill him faster? I hate it when you fight over half an hour and thjen he just flees. Im HR7 (haven't unlocked higrank dragon elders though) and mostly use GS but Im open to other weapons too.

3. is there a difference between what weapon I should use for black or white one?

1: When I fight the high ranked Black Fatalis with G-ranked weapons and armour, it usually takes 4 quests in total. Maybe that's the common amount, maybe it's more, I don't know. Either way I don't think he ever resets to full health before he's killed.

2: Personally I always use a bow for the first quest to break his head and wings. I then switch to a dragon longsword to do hit'n'runs on his chest and legs. I havn't tried using a GS against him, but considering how much he loves to charge forwards, I would imagine it's quite difficult to land a lv3 charge on him. (Maybe a hammer would be better? I'll give that a try and get back to you)

3: I havn't unlocked the white one yet so unfortunately I can't help you with that one. I can however tell you that as far as the Crimson one goes, stay close to him. Keep that in mind as you choose your weapon.

Fatalis is weak to the dragon element and indeed it does deal significant damage to him, so if you're able to use a dragon weapon, that should increase your speed.

The downloaded white fatalis quest is just... crazy. It's impossible to beat, as its health doesn't carry over, so you have to beat it in one round /no/

I believe all Fatalis run if the quest isn't a download quest. But they only run after you've dealt a good enough amount of damage to them taking out enough HP for them to run (maybe its 25% at least?). If you dont beat them by the 4th quest (reason why i said 25% because 4 x 25% = 100% health), i believe their HP gets reset. Also, downloaded Fatalis quest have lower HP than Guild Hall quests.

Like Locrin, i also bow Fatalis. I used a Peirce/Rapid and Dragon element bow to break his horns and scar the eye, chest(?), and wings. The Black and White Fatalis fight pretty much the same, except using a long range weapon against White Fatalis is a bit riskier since White Fatalis can call upon lightning attacks in an area. Also, i'm not 100% sure but i'm pretty sure Black Fatalis DOES NOT go into "Armor Mode" (a state where he turns all your damage to 10% of what it originally does). White Fatalis though, DOES have this mode once you've taken away 50% or so of his HP away. So some people recommend using weapons that cause explosion (Gunlances shells, Bowguns useing CragS and ClusterS) or using bombs against White Fatalis because those attacks can negate Fatalis's Armor Mode.

Also, even if you fail the quest (die 3x), the damage carries over for the Guild Hall Fatalis quest. So if you didn't kill or repel him but you fought him well for a good 20min or so, you might wanna consider saving and going after him again.

Good luck dawg.
