| I used the low rank version. I found punishing draw and the added defense a plus. If you like to use bombs, it will help with that, too. | |

| The blademaster armour is okayish. Punish draw isn't too good on most weapons (GS excluded, especially in combo with Crit draw). Defense doesn't do too much, it's really not a skill you would aim for. Bombardier is nice, but pretty easy to get.
Basically, there's better armours, but it looks funzy and has some perks.
The gunner armour is pretty darn good. The recoil down and bombardier are great for status gunners.

| I suppose it could be a sleepbombing set, the problems here are
That people don't sb anymore, Bombardier is an easy c skill and only takes 5 slots, and it's only useful if you use bombs a lot. Otherwise your better off hemming in speedsharp or cap guru And there are far more appropriate sb sets, I use nox for status up.
Defence could be a useful skill for an early player that gets hit a lot, but I think it's a percentage increase so it won't do too much at early stages.
And finally, I don't think it's with the time to make it as a set, you'd probBly be better of using something else like nox or barioth or rathalos, all those armors are probably more useful, nox especially if you use sns or ls, or perhaps lance.

| the low rank legs can be overforged and used in some great endgame mixes.
helios+ chest, vangis coil, LR gaan legs = sharpness+1 and one gem away from low earplugs.

Just gem out the negative skills better if u make the headless set or helios/vangis mix so u dont hav to gem out the negatives as for uragaan armor, its mostly used as gunner armor because of the recoil down and defense boost

| I just got lagi armor for the time being since i already had all the material and i upgraded it to the max amount until lagi+, and i cant help but think i just wasted alot of my spheres and material.
Mainly because it's weak to fire and most monsters in tri are fire based.
..or does that really matter that much.

..or does that really matter that much. elemental resistances mean relatively nothing damage wise except maybe a few hp difference, what resistance mainly affects is your blights, -15+ will give you a severe blight, and anything up to 15+ i think will give you a normal blight or sometimes nothing, and 25+ i think may negate the blight all together, but blights are taken care of by simply rolling, waiting, or chugging a berry, and on the lagi armor, it's a rather great investment since you'll be using it a lot for the skills already set (razor, EaU) and mainly, for the 10 slots that are in, when adding weapons and tali slots you might be able to get to 15! and when you get to high rank, i advise overforging it, simply because it's an easy one to OF and is superior to it's high rank counterpart, unless you really want awaken instead of razor...

| Lagi's Element attack up and razor sharp makes it a good pairing with weapons with high hit speeds, Short Sword, Lance, Longsword. It's not so impressive for hammer and greatsword. It's also great for use against the Lagiacrus itself, and the Ceadeus. You may wish to consider an alternative for hunting in the volcano- The obvious choice being rathalos. I did this with my los armor, using a barroth helm: http://divinewh.im/s/0_K.s_d.s_a_e_d.M_b.Q.13 the -10 ice resist made me afraid of barioth but you go to hunt with the talimans you have, not the talismans you wish you had. | |
