Don't feel bad, the moment i saw that i needed 5 los plates for the rathling gun, heartless tears endlessly streamed down my face. I actually counted, and i had to face 70 los' with mixture of captures and kills, to get those plates.

| I had to go through 60+ diablos in one day for two stout horns I am forever scared by that experience be happy it's ala tails than stout horns. I also feel the game knows what we desire the most and tries to make it seem impossible for us to obtain what we want the most. | |

This is just me, but when I do different quests and then go back to hunting ala or fight with different weapons on ala, my chances of getting what I desire increases. But this is probably more of a belief...it's more fun than doing ala for 10 hours straight and get no tails, imo. Basically, if you fought ala or any monster a lot and you aren't getting what you desire most, just fight something else that might drop something that you need and go back to fight the previous monster. Also, one person told me that when you go to the smith place and look at and item that requires rare drops, you chance for those rare drops will decrease. However, most players say this is bs. I highly advise not to farm something for a week straight while using the same armor set and weapon; kinda change your patterns a bit in farming rare drops. Works for me and isn't as boring...xD I think chances for tails increases if you use hammer, because a hammer can't break the tail...but this might be bs, too.

I actually tried to do that one time, i needed lagiacrus horns+ and i kept getting regular horns, so i went and looked at some lagiacrus armor that needed normal horns that i needed 2 more for, and of course...it didn't work. That desire sensor gets into your head

| Did you only use one weapon the whole progress? I think the choice of weapons and maybe armors might affect the chances of getting drops, by a little bit. If not, then...the game is just a jerk. Also, trying different quests helps sometimes (not really), but for ala there's only one quest.
I'm just trying to make sense out of the desire sensor.
For example, if I wanted ala gems, but after the past 20 ala games I got none, I would do diabloes for stout horns and I might actually get some stout horns. Then I would go back to ala after I'm bored with diablo.

Go back under the bridge, please, or choose to walk across it. Also, stop sleeping under the bed, it makes you grumpy (look at location).
