I hate HR grinding. I haven't picked MH 3 for almost 2 weeks now because I couldn't stand beating the same old monsters over and over again. I really want to fight Alatreon and Deviljho, but as time passes on, the chances of me doing so are starting to look pretty grim.

What do you guys do to keep up your interest while HR grinding, or at least, make it more bearable?

Try using a different type of weapon, it makes hunting more interesting.

Or try to make a new set of armour or weapon. Having a goal when fighting a monster makes the time doing it seem worth it.

Or help other players who need different materials. Some have specific needs such as tails, or head parts like horns. This makes the hunt more fun by having a focused agenda.

Keep on doing this and you'll reach HR 51 in no time. Kind of....

Or do event quests, that's what I usually do....

Just go out and help some random hunters who want to quest.
Go with the flow in other words.
Use different weapons and try out different armour which you have but rarely use.
Or just mix armour together to look good Yes by vort

Play with friends, they normally lighten the mood and crack jokes (my friends at least). This includes most of the forumers...
Otherwise what everybody above said

Use different weapons. If you're blademaster, use bowgun and vice versa.
Mix Armor
Help other players
Events
Get materials from specific monsters to make specific armors (helps a lot because of the insane materials needed for + armors)
Remember to check which key quests you need to do
And play with friends

I learned not to play offline in Tri.

Seriously, if you come on wearing full Ceadus armor, you have to grind for weeks gaining nothing before things get interesting again.

Also, pick up a decent hammer and re-arrange the Rathian's face. Its a good way to HR grind.

You could go for the 'Longest Report in the Hunting Journal' award, it's very prestigious, though I can't remember who holds it currently.

Essentially, just room hop for as long as you can and write about your encounters as you go, then hit the post button, then remember you didn't spoiler it so your post alone has taken a full page. Then you try and ninja the mods that may be lurking.

Fun game, something to consider.

Try to complete every quest available for your HR, then if you've done that and still not high enough, see what armour looks nice and try to make it, Fashion in the Monster Hunter World is fun.

this works if you already know how to play, when it's your first time playing its better to train offline instead of go bothering pther players online asking: "how do I capture" "how to mine?" "how to catch bugs?"

Lol I stopped trolling like a year ago now I just care to hunt if you come to start trouble get out if not I'll just leave and block. When I hit the 200 mark on my first character I felt it pointless to do all that considering I had people that actually came to me for help.
