As the topic says what is the worst thing to ever happen to you while playing Monster Hunter. For me it was losing my main last September I was almost going to reach 500 when I lost my file and now yesterday I had the same thing happen again I lost my new main she was about to reach 400.

I've always wondered if there's a way to backup your saves, like on a SD or something...

on-topic: departing on a hunt quest with no pots and only pickaxes and bugnets because I was doing gathering before it

^ There is, but it requires Homebrew. I myself am still debating whether or not to put the effort into learning to do it. Backups seem like such a good idea now after the same thing that happened to Kushala happened to me, though I was nowhere near HR 500 or 400, and I only lost one.

well, real leecers usually go to mine and avoid fighting, that's what I hate.

I think the worst feeling is your last life, low health and you're running to the exit to another area and the monster decides to hit you and you die. /sad/

On the other hand, there's the total feeling of depression of when you're capturing a monster and you think, great, it's limping, let's cap it! You try, and use all your tranqs, and fail. Then retrying your quest, you're determined not to fail this time. So you keep beating it, and beating it, and beating it, and the final time you beat it... it dies. Yes, MH3, you make me cry. /versad/

The worst thing that happened to me is not completely about tri, but it defiantly involves it. I sent in my Wii to get repaired about a month ago, because the Wiimote was acting a bit sluggish. I've had it repaired twice before for much worse things, but this time they just sent me back a brand new Wii. I lost all my data on every game. I had a hr 281 character on tri.

Every Nintendo game with online service keeps you from transferring your save to an SD card. It's probably to prevent you from cloning your character on to other Wiis.

Mine was a misclick I made. I meant to delete a single offline character on tri, instead I deleted the whole file...
I lost a HR 128 Sword and Shielder with full Ala armor and a HR 70 character with every bone weapon in the game....

I too lost a 300some account back in 2010, but i didn't care, still fun to start all over and play with what used to be widely populated servers on tri. Oh how i will never see a whole recruiting completely filled, forcing me to go to the second one. It was still fun cause there was plenty to play with.

But my actual worst moment is something proving my horrible luck. back in like 07, me and my bro played mhf2 on a car ride, after a few hours, my battery was very low, i went to save since i was on a streak of no saving. Middle of saving, psp goes to sleep, from low battery showing the slash battery thing, didnt finish saving. I was thinking "all right ill just charge at the hotel" so i leave it off since its not actually completely off, by the time i get to charge, it starts up normally. I start mhf2, and data is corrupted. horrible moment since we were both hr6's, and i have to start at the bottom.

Haha, at least we know they are good games content wise if the worst that happens to most people is losing their save.

My story is similar, only I didn't even know saves could become corrupt that sounds terrible Sad by vort

I was with my ex for almost 2 years and we decided to call it quits, I did the usual thing and had some down time for a week, got drunk a lot and went out with friends to feel better and generally had a bit of a sook.

Then when I finally went to sit down and have a nice old fashioned session of monster hunter-ing I realized the wii belonged to her and was gone...

That was a bit of a fffffffffffuuuuuuccccckkkkkkkk.................. moment

Grabbed a new wii a little while back and got a new toon past the HR 50s but I still miss my custom crit draw, awakening and evade distance up with some other petty skill armor and my great sword and hammer collection Sad by vort

Didn't remake coz I got into mhp3rd on ps3 about a month ago Yes by vort

:win:

that's why they included the wrist strap on the wiimote and it says everytime to make sure you have it secured ;)
if someone broke his tv with the wiimote is because he deserves it...

The worst thing that happened to me is one time in mhf2, I was playing on a long car drive. And i was HR5 and i had to beat the urgent to get to HR6, and when I hit the save button to make sure I didn't lose any progress, my psp just dies on me, in the middle of the saving. The reason why it just died was because it had a broken battery that dies randomly and i was going to get a new one soon. And when i charged it back up when I got home, my save got corrupted. :/
