Hello all! First time poster, but long time follower of the forum. I have played up to hr 100 in tri but have decided to try my skills at unite....this was a while ago and have just picked up my game again to discover why I stopped. Offline I just today completed The final Invitation...idk how really XD. With Nekoht I am stuck hopelessly on Rise to the Summit... In the gathering hall I am HR5 and don't know exactly where to pick up. Right now the only armor I have is cenatar U with reckless +3. As for weapons I have Hidden Blaze, Smolder Dragonsword, and True Devil Slicer... I know I shouldn't be stuck but I am and hope there is some way to kick myself out of this funk, any tips? I want Cenatar s but cannot find rare scarabs... Anything can help /sad/

It's been awhile since I picked up Unite and played but if I'm not mistaken, Rise to the Summit is the Akantor correct? Take your Smolder Dragonsword and go to down on his front claws till each side breaks, then break his face when you can.
Paintball him, then make the minimap zoom in for the close up view, this will let you know which way and where Akantor is when he's underground.
As for the Gathering hall, we had a thing somewhere on the wiki itself that showed which quests you needed to do to unlock the Urgent quest to rank up, not sure if it's still there or not.

Welcome to the club bro :D I also downed akantor with the dragonsword after being stuck for quite some time....
Well.... Dark akantor armor is really good for blademasters.... But it will take you a while since you will have to farm for gravios brain stems and for akantor materials....

Wow ya that isn't easily obtained armor...but the power is tempting. Idk for now I'll go to the hall and see if I can do those alone because unfortunately I do not own a PS3 so ad hoc is out of the question.

You are Hr5 right? It is a little bit tricky to surpass... Especially the Green plesioth quest needed to unlock the urgent which is also hard (double tigrex )... It gave me a hard time , but with the True devil slicer , shock traps and sonic bombs you will be able to get the plesioth....
About which quest you need here is the list nova was talking about :
The ones with the light-yellow background are the ones needed for the urgent to be unlocked and the normal-yellow are the urgents :<

Akantor Armor is actually easy to obtain, the best way to get it (And not deal with killing Gravios) do the nekoht quest for the 2 black gravios, yes you heard right, the thing you are gonna do is, you're gonna fight both, but instead of going for the kill, the sole objective will be cutting their tails, each tail gives 2 carves I believe, and the rate for brainstems in that quest is pretty decent, if you carve even a single brain stem, take a triple cart and add it to your box, the other part is just dealing with akantor a bunch, and once you learn him and how he works, he becomes an EASY punching bag for free money (i can wreck him so fast with hammer lol, then again i had to go through hell to make a decent dragon hammer)
The reason you want Akantor armor is cause, with even a few spheres on each armor piece upgraded, Akantor armor will be one of your best entry's into the challenge of G rank (which if you aren't a top notch player, will have you swearing like a sailor). G rank is a MASSIVE step up in challenge, so being prepared helps,
Just make sure to gem otu the negative effect of Akantor armor so it's a pure positive gain.

Basarios is done, but I find myself wishing slow and painful death upon the person who created the hitboxs of the bloody green fish...I don't know if I need to fine tune my sonic skills or just hope for luck because as of right now it isn't going anywhere.
Thanks for the tip Nova Ill try that, then its just killing another rajang....not looking forward to that... (3 stems down two to go, never would have thought of it.)

Rajangs are tame to an extent once you understand their attacks and their hitbox, what I like to do is get an Ice element longsword and just sit under their chest hacking away, done right you don't get hit much, youtube can help you figure it out.

Nova you a a wealth of knowledge, one cap and I got the remaining pelt. For wyvern stems BFL's tip was a good start, now I'll just need to find a better way to farm akantor and I'll be set for the armor. As for Guild, any tips for g. plesy?

What is pretty good for g.plesioth is a shielded weapon like a SnS or a Gunlance/Lance with a fire or thunder element. The shield would be very helpfull so you can block the amazingly annoying and nerve racking tackle and the tail turn....
Actually many people use ranged weapons like a bowgun for it... It's up to your preferences.....
I personaly took it down with the true devil slicer.... A shock trap , a pitfall trap and much much luck and i got it down.... Just remember to stay under it's feet so when it turns , it wont hit you with the tail.... The stomach is the weakest point so staying under it helps a lot... Also , when under it pay attention to it's tells because getting hit by the tackle will hurt as you may have noticed..... When it shoots water it is most probable that the next move will be a tackle or a bite. Most likely a tackle though...

Heh thanks, it comes from playing way too much (solo'd unite, including all of G rank TWICE, well almost twice, still have a few unfinished things on my 2nd playthrough).
Honestly for Plessy I found a Hammer works wonders (thunder like the Khezu line is just plain AMAZING or Fire like the Gunhammer series).
Back in the day I used to loathe plessy's (still sorta do lol) but this video guide helped make them cake.

Wow, finally got my Akantor armor, totally worth it! Thanks for the help! Now I need to prepare myself for the dual tiggy mission, and then my downloaded white fatty quest...which between use is making me very uneasy. Never fought one but hope that I'll be successful. Any weapon suggestions, I've got Silver Rook (s. los GL), Smolder LS and Narga GS, and I could take the time to make whatever will make it possible to win.

I used the tailcutting tip nova stated, personally I found a GS after a heatbeam or you can attack him from outside his explosive cloud for free hits and gives a good chance to attack once or twice, then I use a shock trap for a level three charge. Just try not to fight them i the same area if possible. With that it goes pretty quick. I got one every two sometimes three quests if i cut both. Persistence paid off for me so I guess just keep going and hope for the best! hope that helps.
Unfortunately plessy did me in even with my hammer, I'll try ls now and see if that gives me an advantage...

I recommend you use a bow since white fatalis goes in to armor mode once you eat through enough of its health making all melee weapons bounce no matter what sharpness unless you have ESP

Honestly a Hammer or GS is ideal for White Fatalis, and a Gunlance for it's armor mode round (imo its better to unlock the normal black, crim, and white than the download ones, yeah you can solo the download ones in a single round but it's not as fun or epic).
Either a pure raw hammer or a dragon element hammer will work wonders on any of the Fatalis.

I agree completely Nova, they aren't the same, for me its more like a practice run. If I could get that down it would be a step closer to the real deal. But for know dual tiggy stands in my way. I'll be trying with slicer first then if unsuccessful I'll use narga GS. Well, if you have a suggestion let me know, if not, TO BATTLE!
Edit: Well...that was...disheartening. /sad/ Ls-lost, Gs- lost twice, Gl got one down, then lost. The problem for me is the both of them staying together. I personally don't know how dung bombs work in the gen and thus far have not been able to make them separate. One on one I'll aces (unless it uses a triple hit KO or beat and stun), my problem is there cooperation and agility. Any suggestions before they make me their plaything any more than they already have?

/yes/ Two up, to down, dual tigrex is over with! Thank the game creators for adding drugged meat and making tiggy such a glutton. My Narga GS to the face of a sleeping tiggy is a great image. The two of them each ate one and had their tails cut before finally retiring. Now that that burden is out of the way, I took Nova's advice and did the training school mission to unlock the true Fatalis...Now I go to fight my namesake, now to make a choice between my narga gs, smolder dragon sword, or the Dragonslayer GS...any suggestions?

Longsword, early on, is going to bounce, a LOT. Truthfully? I'd make yourself the Lao Shan hammer and keep upgrading it (you'll use it a LOT in the future, as well as it's upgraded form in G rank), also pursue the Juggernaut hammer like (its the one that looks like an anvil) at HR 7 entry you can upgrade it to Juggernaught and get a decent purple sharpness raw hammer that will be useful for so long).
The Dragonslayer Greatsword looks good on paper, but GS rely soley on their raw damage, The Element is nice but it's rather worthless, element is a complete secondary stat for a Greatsword, save your materials unless you are deadset on making it for it's looks.
Greatswords are good if you can constantly land level 3 charges (or even level 2 charges) on it's face. However Hammer is the solo weapon of champions early on (and later if you like them) because you can spin / super pound their legs/tailbase and whenever they come down to land (youll learn their patterns / identifiers like their growl when they are coming to land) you can super pound their face, which you WANT to do because after breaking it for the 3rd time (first chips the horn on it's left side, second breaks the horn off, 3rd scars the left eye) you can then get Fatalis eye's which are prized (especially the white fata eyes). You'll use them later.

Well I took a page from your book and watched so vids beforehand and learned some of its tells before starting. I just finished round one and chipped and broke his horn before he ran, I'll try hammer though, I have Dragon Demolisher and Onslaught Hammer. I'll use demolisher so if it works and then if I can't do that well I'll go back to GS, and hopefully it will fall eventually. Thanks Nova!
