Your OMG HOLY **** moments

Anything that totally took you by surprise is often funny once you get over your initial shock. :shock: Any of these moments happen to you guys?

I have a few of my own:

First Rathian:
I was fighting a Qurupeco way back when I was still new-ish and doing the village quests. This was the Deserted Island Qurupeco quest, and then he called for a monster that I hadn't heard a roar before. It was rather loud, but it was unfamiliar. Then this hugeass green dragon showed up and I was like OMG HOLY **** :affraid: (as per mentioned by the title). First impression is made even funnier when the first attack it uses is the WyvernFire uber blast. I got over it, ran like hell, and finally managed to finish the quest away from the Rathian (keeping in mind this is before I knew anything about armor).

First Deviljho:
In the swing of things now, pretty much experienced a lot of what's in Tri. Doing good, now (and still) burning through HR quests in the 4* zone. On a Qurupeco run (again lol :P) it called this roar I hadn't heard of. I was like "wut" since I had done the whole LR quests and knew all of those monsters. And then this cucumber dinosaur showed up (and I knew better by then) and I was like JHO! Actually I wanted to fight it for materials since we had 2 higher HR hunters on our team. Then it used its boulder fling attack (which somehow I failed to dodge :P that wasn't the first rock it flung) and I got hit. For like 95% of my health even with eating for health +40. Ow. :shock:

first time I saw the Jhen Mohran introduction. /yes/

Personal favorite moment: when agna shot its laser for the first time

Same thing could be said for the ceadeus tho...

Peco calling Ian was one for me.

Another big one was Barioth's triple ninja jump.

When I first got sent into the air by jhen and then immediately hit by a rock in mid-air.

I think the biggest OMG moment was finally seeing the damage Deviljho was packing. Scared me to hell and I knew i was gonna die.

Other then that, it was like OMG when I killed Lagiacrus and i thought, that was way easier then I thought

i was doing the dual diablos offline quest and i was spamming teh first one with bombs, and then i trapped it and was about to throw tranq bomb, and then i heard a crash,what the.... *****, ****, ****, ****, *****, *********lobsterface*****, and i was dead.. /versad/ also i was doing the online jump four jaggis quest ,and before a jaggi showd up there was a peco, so the whole group is like come at me bro... and we kill it...short while later we has 2 jaggis left ,and a ian divebombs a guy, and i was like OMG IS YOU AGAIN ************* and he carts, so i busts out dat switchaxe, and me and this girl kill ian while other 2 kill jaggis.

When a bnahabra cut an ian+'s tail off without apparent effort.

Few minutes later

Same Bnahabra (I think) swoops in for the kill.

Again. without apparent effort

My first Gigginox:

I was offline, doing my first Tundra quest (I think it was cold stones), happily mining away and killing giggis in area 5. Suddenly, I heard the alert music play, which I was not expecting and jumped 12 feet in my 10 foot-tall room. I was wheeling my camera about, desperately trying to find where the hell this monster was, but I didn't see anything anywhere. Then I heard it roar, and my hunter was left cowering (it did not escape me that he was cowering longer than normal...) as I was wondering where it could be. Then it dropped on me...

First Rathian: Just like Crystalis said, fighting the Peco, call Rathian, i think CRAP! And also the first time i fought Jhen Moran, all alone, with like, HR 2. And the Gigginox, when ever i fight it, not just the first time.

I just met Alatreon....I was amazing and in awe of this Dragon's incredible speed and strength.
I didn't die though.
One person carted 3 times.

But what scared me the most is seeing how 1) Ala's damage ratio's 2) See how hard it is to actually hit Ala

My first encounter offline Lagia. the scene where Lagia was snoozing near area 3 in D island. I was like WOW, that beast is huge and scary.

Yeah.
It's actually pretty shocking how easy it is to get a lvl3 GS charge on ala.

My first encounter with Nox. All I could think of when I saw it laying eggs was "Ugh! A monster that doodies?!" By the end of the fight there were so many egg sacs, like five of them, and I remember saying, "Is there anywhere it didn't poo?" Then I looked up.

My first barroth offline...
he killed me and when the camera pans up for the "Quest failed" a bahnara hits the barroth and it falls dead on my dead character, I was so angry I didnt do offline for a while

One time I was doing Red Hot Parrty with randies, and got a Rathalos Ruby from the tail! /yes/ Bit of a shame Uragaan ended it all.

While this is P3rd, I once got a Rathalos Plate from a Shiny from a Rathalos. That's like a 2% chance!

First time Jho did his breath attack on me.
Oh, good times.
Also: First time I saw Uragaan. It was on the powderstone quest.
