Ala gunning sets?

Hey, I've done my personal runs for ala and jho weapons and armor but now my friend wants to farm them. The current strategy is the inefficient randoms with random melee in a room. I had the luck of finding good hammer teams, sleep bomb teams, etc. He hasn't had much luck and I'm a bit out of practice atm so I am going to try to gun ala, it would probably be easier. Just wondering what kind of gun/armor sets would be good for clusting and sleep bombing? I'm sure there is a huge guide somewhere, I just need a rough idea..I've played enough to take it from there. Gem all with Recoil

Guns:
Rathling Frame
Rathling Barrel
Agna Stock.

You can get Load up skills too by getting BArrage earring, not recommended but really helpful.

gotcha, you think clusting is good for a team with very likely randoms? i was wondering if i should go sleep bomb or clust. i can build all that now but i was thinking about which would be less dependent on others knowing at all what they're doing

I just played with randoms this morning, made a room and tell people clust only. Wait do you know the wall trick? Make everyone go up the wall at the beginning (Flash the alatreon ). When everyone is ready just keep firing clust at him, he should die in less than 5 mins :p.

A single clust gunner is still damaging. If your aim is consistent, you can at least take out Ala's wings despite whatever your team is doing.

So if you can't really find a team for either, you can always go that route and hope your teammates don't cart too many times.

thanks lol, i know what to do on him really well with melee just haven't gunned him, maybe once with random gear? my friend just got into it so i've gotten back into it. he gets in rooms with randoms and seems to have....less luck than i did lol /mad/ . i had some good guidance as to dispatching him quickly.. personally i hammer, but i feel sleeping or para-ing will help, but yea clust does do a very solid amount of damage to him.

Clust set: this is the closest I can get to what I can think of, however there must be someone out there with a better alternative. Use rathling gun + frame and barrel and Agnablaster stock. no no no no no

You need recoil down+3 with that gun to fire clust 2 without recoil. Otherwise it halves your firing rate. This is the basic version, with a good clust charm you can use ura+ waist and also get rec speed.

thanks for the comments everyone, im taking it all in. gonna try some all around gunning for now. melee was getting a little bland lol.

So to be sure. If I wanna clust Ala, meaning a pretty good way to break his wings and head and kill in a quick time.

Id need Jhen+ armor, gemmed with recoil
And the gun is Rathling Barrel, Frame, and then Anga stock?

I see. Well i'm trying to do EXACTLY as Dain and Daen were saying.

im looking at both sets made by them.
And for Dain showed in the set builder, i'd gem the gun with CLustPlus
Have the recoil gemmed into the chest, arms and waist armor.

And the be lucky enough to find a charm with 3 slots and gem it Recoil to get that none-stop shots of Clust since of Recoil down +3.
The clustPlus to make it more powerful(?)
And the barrage to just have that extra shot.

Daen is basically the same but finding a charm with exact traits like that are unlikely...



I mean, i have all the Jhen+ stuff, except some of the armor due to lacking Lagia and Ian plates, C. Seals and Elder blood.

But once then, i'd have to fight in the arena a couple times to get the coins to make barrage earring.

AND then i'd be set. And the only other thing i could do is upgrade the armor and the gun itself.

Lou, i saw "Clustplus" there...it doesn't exist. There's Clust lvl 1 up and All up, which boost the amount of shots you can load. You'll be firing lvl 2, so you'll need all up.

It's possible to do without, the only neccessary requirements for clusting are the bowgun you mentioned and recoil down+3 (Even a 4 man team might not be able to stagger ala reliably enough without it). Clust all up and Load up simply make it smoother and faster.

Isn't there a way to do those armor sets for clusting without Recovery up? Id rather only have recoil down+3, load up, Clust S All up, and Combination pro. Recovery is a rather shitty talent.

I wouldn't figured that was part of making the armor combo somehow...id rather carry combo books personally.
