just to ruin my first day of internet (pretend its today cuz im lazy to tell anyone i have itt for over a week) i tried to go online hunting.
all fine until i was up to choosing the city.
then the dreaded error code 16699 and his friends came along.
i then wondered how in hell would my 100mb internet would lag in a zone where leader's screen is not decided yet( its what decides lag) i was having trouble like this.
(do i even need to say what i want?)

Some of my friends solved that issue by turning off the firewalls in their routers or by actually replacing the whole router.
Dunno if this may help you...

An alternative Andrea's method is cheap and cost effective, also very helpful:

Go out to your nearest electronics store and look for a little bundle that has the Wii Hardwire Adapter. If you buy that, and plug it into a direct source or split it off another cable, then you'll have minimal problems with lag or 'unable to connect' errors, unless it's on another person's side.

If neither of these methods work, you may consider asking your ISP about possible fixes for such issues, seeing as how Capcom won't do anything about it.

well yeah, if you disable firewall protection you may receive intrusions on your computer, but you can still turn it back on when you finished playing, I guess it's worth a try ;)
