Just out of curiosity... What happened to your Wii?

One day, the disc drive just stopped working. I can't fix it either, because one of the screws crucial to opening up the wii and replacing it is stripped and is too small to use a magnet..

I think you missed a few:

Skyward Sword
SSBB

The reason for not listing those is that I already have them :P

Oh right, I just didn't read that :P

Xenoblade and Okami are must haves, no doubt.
If we can include WiiWare and GameCube games here than I suggest Majora's Mask and other Zelda games :P

Why is Metroid other M even on the list?

Xenoblade's the only I would call must have.

Ahh, well if its just the disk drive in your Wii and you are getting a WiiU... No worries, to do the Wii to WiiU transfer you only need an SD card and even if the disk drive is not working you can still save all your Wii data without problems.

But to answer your question... If you wait a bit a lot of places will start having a lot of sales on Wii games. So you may just want to wait a bit. In my area a lot of the stores have already marked down many of the Wii games so they would still sale after the WiiU released. Look and see what sales on what Wii games are in your area.

Metroid Prime Trilogy- OMG So F'ing Awesome

Both "Red Steel" titles- The 1st one takes ALOT of getting used to the controls, the 2nd one was just epic awesome badassery!

The Conduit- Really fun FPS

Dead Space: Extraction- Really fun with a friend

Resident Evil 4- Nuff Said

That one game, can't remember the title, was kinda fun too. Oh Yeah, Monster Hunter Tri!

I quite enjoyed DragonBall Z Budakai Tenkaichi 3 when it came out in 2007.
Not sure if thats how you spell it or if it came out in 2007.

All the ones you listed are excellent choices. Roll a die or something, but play all of them at some point.

Other M wasn't bad, everyone just hates on it because of the poor reinterpretation of Samus. If it pisses you off that much, just skip the cutscenes.

Jesus Christ, only one other person voted up Muramasa, and no one else voted for S&P2?

Metroid Prime Trilogy and The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces.

TSC:IA has some weird controls at first (namely, nunchuk and Wiimote on opposite hands), but they're intuitive and pretty funny.

Metroid Prime Trilogy is just the Prime series all in one disc...with unlockable extras and MP:Corruption controls, which are damn good if I say so myself (Tip: Adjust the aim sensitivity to high - much easier to look around and aim properly).

Yeah but it wasn't Wii exclusive, which is why I didn't mention DBZBT3 as well.

The Lego Games are usually much better on PS3 or Xbox anyway.

Okay, this was an oversight on my part. I shouldve listed the games that I've already played. I've played: Skyward sword
Twilight princess
Ssbb
Both Mario galaxies
Nsmb wii
Metroid prime trilogy
Mario kart
Donkey kong country

As for Vc games, I have enough... For now

Edit: this isn't all my games, just the ones I thought might be recommended

Throw in Last Story to the poll, and I can't really think of any other exceptional Wii title worth getting.

Maybe Deadly Creatures or Fire Emblem?

Great...great is a big word. But i've got one solid title to add: Battalion Wars II (BWii, for puntasy). It's got it's faults, it's not deep, and the multiplayer lacks, but it's just a hell of a load of fun.

I'd list FE due to my love for the series...but then i remembered that the only Wii entry was FE10 (Radiant Dawn), which was completely sub-par. And it's not a series everyone will like either way.

So, I've read the list... And considered it.. And then looked at my games... Have most people's suggested games. Then I looked at the games I have that I consider really good and were not listed as suggest and will most likely not be considered as options in any way.. Here are a few Wii games that should be low priced and worth picking up IMO:

Create:

Spectrobes origins:

Fragile Dreams:

The only of these games I will comment on is Fragile Dreams. It has to be one of the most amazing Wii games made and probably one of the least played or talked about of them. I would suggest picking up a copy of it before any of the other two as its the only one that's an actual Nintendo exclusive.

The definition of Great obviously differs for most of us. One could say it's awesome while the other completely hates it.

I don't have THAT many Wii games. But a few I really love for life are;

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn
Monster Hunter Tri (DUH)
Okami
Super Smash Bros Brawl (Insane fun)
Mario Kart Wii (Double insane fun with friends)

I remember these from mind. I currently can't check my secret storage of Wii games, so I might edit this later on if I missed any c:

Both of which I'd second, as another FE lover. Though Radiant Dawn isn't as great as the GBA ones.

How did I forgot BWII? It's a better version of the first! It's a shame my disk doesn't work Sad by vort
Again going on the WiiWare scene, Paper Mario from N64, is much better than the Wii one imo.
