Goddamn it....

I need to kill a lot of Plesioths, reason 1: farm materials. 2: training to kill lots of Lavasioth. 3: to finish all those high rank quests i skipped D:. But you see, im not a very good plessy killer, i got my friends to do all of the low rank and low guild Plesioth quests.I suck.Badly. Is there anyone out there who knows how you can kill a few of these goddamn broken creatures of hell, and would be willing to pass on thier secrests??? Please???

If you use a bowgun they're easy, you don't even have to worry too much about armour.
Simply get either a Bowgun that fires Thunder S or a Thunder Bow.
Use sonic bombs to get Plesioth out of water, run away from it so it can't hit you, but not so far that it slides after you.
Fire your shots at it, it'll try to hit you with a water beam, walk to the left and continue firing, it'll then turn and try to fire a beam again, walk to the right and fire.
Plesioths kinda dumb, it'll keep doing this until it feels like running back into the water.

Also, don't take a Felyne Comrade, they can distract the Plesioth and interrupt it's failed beam combo.

I've killed multiple plesioths with ease doing this.

(If you have it) Fk them up with the Wailing Cleaver.

I've tried it with Wailing Cleaver and had my ass kicked

I think, I'll try to get the Wrath gun or Rajang barrage, I tried Plesioth with bow, and I got carted 3 times before 5 minutes were up.

Not trying to sound pro, but I'm surprised you couldn't do it with the wailing cleaver... I could do it with the true devil slicer...

Depends on the way you play, the only way a weapon can stop you dying is if it's so overpowered that it kills the enemies before they hurt you. Besides, ScienceJesus asked for the secrets of killing them, not the weapon to kill them.

I am not very aggressive when fighting a newish monster. I usally just learn its movements and try to inflict a little damage. I usually circle the monster half its length away so i can easily advance to attack or dodge out of the way but, against the plesioth, cause of its goddamn hip-checks and tail, it does not work that well :/

There is no strategy to Plesioth, it's just broken, so go all-out.

Also, don't mind me asking but, how are you g-rank and struggling with high rank VILLAGE Plesioth when you have to kill a high rank guild green Plesioth to get to HR 6?

My bowgun strategy seemed to work quite well.

Here's a useful tip, roll towards the head when he hip-checks.

Honestly, i dont know /sad/ but i completed all the plesioth quests now so im good.
