Well while looking for a game that can satisfy my need I stumbled upon this MMO. I did a 14 day trail 1st and ended up really liking the game, so I bought it. This MMO has amazing graphics and a combat system I have not played on any other MMO before.

So I wanted to see if any play here? and if so character details :3

I don't think spamming someone elses post is funny at all.
It's not fair to them or the people who would actually like to know about what they are posting. If you don't agree with their thread you don't have to comment there.

On subject, I'm not really sure what "The world of TERA" is. Re-re, could you tell us a bit more about it please?

I saw some promotional material and gameplay of TERA, and I really wanted to play it. Then I saw the price tag and instantly gave up on it.

You're the only person to actually be on-topic here....

Tera looks extremely interesting to me. The fact that it abandons the old "numbers+clicking=fighting" mechanic for a more skill-based system, while maintaining classes and equipment elements, makes it seem like an example for future MMO's.

Perhaps this won't be the case, but i definitely feel that Tera's popularity stretches beyond it's visual presentation, and that perhaps the MMO crowd is tired of seeing a stream of games with very similar mechanics all the time.

I've got other things to play right now though. An MMO takes up a whole load of time to play seriously, and i may just not be able/willing to spent that.

I did ask about it.. I have not heard about it until it was posted here.. though I did look it up afterwords.

The graphigs look really nice. It's difficult for me to get into any computer game since I rarely use a computer aside from work... So it would be nice for a console version.. though I hope for console versions of everything...

Dude, is your KB broken? I can't believe I just read that!! OMG dude! PC games are win!! (If you have a pc that is capable) Though my pc won't run this particular game, there are tons that it will. Then there's also the ability to more easily mod/manipulate them to your own preferences. And the game selection dwarfs that of all of the consoles combined!

I'm still choking on reading that statement...

But in the same breath, I can understand. I have a couple friends who are console only players. They can't acclimate to mouse/kb play, just as I can't acclimate to the XBox controllers.

On Topic: Game looks awesome Recia! Can you elaborate more on the battle system/style. It was mentioned that it is diff from the usual MMO's/ARPG's, but from what I can see from the gameplay vids that I watched, it doesn't that there is very much of a difference. It still looks fun, though.

In most ways I would agree that PC games are superior than home console games. Games like terra are a great example. Graphics, even sound and speed... However the drawback to computers are the constant need for virus protection, the high need for fast Internet connections the constant updating of the computer which is every 6 months to a year or less where as with a system it's about 6-7 years and the fact that with a computer you are usually tea there's to. Desk or a laptop and on a home console or handheld you can lay on a couch or in bed and be as lazy as you wish as well as (for most people) have little or no knowledge of anything beyond how to put in the game and play it.

Back to terra. I just watched the girls of terra video. ... Nice.

Still no little about it. What all classes are in the game?

I can agree with all of that, especially the bit about having to upgrade a pc every 6 months to a year. Convenience does have perks over computing power and graphics.

Plus playing in a recliner is definitely better for an aging body. Better ergonomics for extended play and all.

Tera doesn't require alot of time to have fun, the combat system alone keeps the game fun for however long you play. There is a 14day trial, you should give it a try.

I'd love too.. if my pc wasn't the equivalent of a moped. (Not a word, dcj)

I'm just happy that it will run UFO:ETs and Torchlight 2 when I'm not keeping my MH practice up.

hmm, i recently figured out that TERA devs talked to the developers of EVE Online to figure out how to implement their money-to-ingame-currency setup. Guess they know who to take pointers from on good MMO development
