Did I just find a way to cheat the game without hacks?

so I am sure someone figured this out before I did but...let me know below

so I was in the city with a friend and she needed honey and potions. I gave here 10 potions and 10 honey then suddenly I disconnected.
when I came back and since the game wasn't saved I found my potions and honey still in my item box.and off course she still had them anyway.
this is not really helpful since farming would be easier anyway.

I heard rumors that in mh3u we would be able to trade items even rare items..it would be interesting to see if capcom would fix this when the game comes out

But since you can really only do it with lower level items it does become a bit time consuming and most people choose not to. Though at lower HR levels I can see the benifit of it for some... but morally...?


In any case there will always be a glitch of some kind or something that was overlooked for whatever reason, most of the time and very.. very rarely in MH has it ever been "game breaking".

I find that it works wonders with 3 helpful Hunters willing to part away with (temporarily) certain items.

If you and a buddy need Wyvern Claws. This can work great. Say you have 50 to start with. when you finish, you could end up with over 500. (but yes, it would be very tedious)

i already bought like 100000000000 honeys when they are sold during jhen so no need for that glitch :P

You obviously didn't get the secret void box upgrade that is only available when you prance for the guild clerk under the light of a new moon on the summer solstice.

When it comes to honey, just going offline for 2 hours and doing R. ludroth runs is enough to last you a week or so, definitely faster than swapping the stuff. You have to disconnect and all, so a whole round takes at least as long as doing one full run offline, which yields far more honey. Especially when it could be 2 guys farming.

Wyvern claws can be traded for..honey? Or something else. It's probably still faster and less boring to farm instead of just logging out the whole time.

This here if you're after honey, you can also hunt delex for Sharpened Fangs, which online will be tradable for 5 Honey per fang. If you have the funds also, the "pint sized peddler" on meat/material fest will be selling them, If I remember properly, they're half price during the Jhen event.

Also, You can trade two Hydro Hides (you get those from plain ludroth) for 5 sharpened fangs. You can then trade 1 sharpened fang for 5 honey. 28 Hydro Hides = 350 honey O_O

There's a similar glitch in pretty much all the pokemon games too; in some form.

This is what I do. I ususally spend 600k when I need to restock! I doubt I'll ever have to again though before ultimate.

This isnt a cheat, its just that the game programmers never made a save feature after you give an item to another player. Which would be annoying in itself if you just want to give one item, and have to wait for the game to save it.
This makes it easy to duplicate items like Bone Husk L which are a pain to farm, due to the need to kill monsters for only 15-30, search though bone piles or trade a G.Baggi claw for 2 husks. So any way other than the duplication "glitch" is ineffective.
You can also use it to duplicate nets/webs for traps, Wyvern Fangs for Life Powders (you cant buy Wyvern Fangs after all..) and Well Done Steaks for Mega Dash Juices.

MHP3rd Had some exploits (which is what the OP is actually talking about) that could have you be a millionaire in a few minutes. I wont spoil it, but if you really wanted to see it, ICEMANnoob has some step by step videos for it on youtube. Hopefully, these can get patched, or the quests removed from the MH#U version, but I digress.

Getting things the easy way is very much contrary to the whole reason we play Monster Hunter games. We start trying to finish the game, and we end up actually LIKING the challenges and looking for more ways of proving our prowess. I would venture to say, that even those that cheat to get some stuff before they are able to get it normally, eventually decide to try to do things the natural way. That, or they just drop the game altogether.

Exploits are often used by players if they find them, but once they actually are able to play this game in particular, they want to go back and run the game the way its meant to be beaten, because, there comes a point in every hunters life, that it stops being about getting to the end, and it start being more about being as bad-a$$ as possible /yes/
