New multiplayer features on the WiiU????

So if you have not already read this article... Read it!!!

According to the article when playing multiplayer using the touch screen you can quickly click on any member of your team to see the normal stuff such as gear and weapons... But also what is in their item pouch.. This is a pretty awesom thing actually to remind them (especially new players) of cool drinks, traps and so on, or to better plan out quests via chat before hand.

What do you all think?

No more "WHO TOOK MY RATIONS!?" xD

No more "Wait who was it who brought me spare para shots?"

I can see both benifits and drawbacks to this feature. With new players and groups of friends it will help out a great deal in preparing for hunts and along with voice chat will highly promote player communication and use of the Gamepad.

With more negative players however... I can see it not working as well.

With those who don't care it won't really matter either way.

Overall however I think the benifits outweight the drawbacks.

i can see someone going "you're wearing los armor for this quest? *boots other player before waiting for response"

but there are more positive applications i think.

No more "Who took the trap at base!?!"

or a quick check and reminder to bring mega pots or hot/cold drinks whatever before leaving on the quest.

Seems quite handy for now, but we'll have to wait and see the full ramifications (i.e noob bashing).

Meh, considering this is a new game, and because of christmas newbs, it will take quiet some time for this to become a noob bashing feature since no one knows what they're doing. Wonderful feature overall.

I hope the equipment part of this feature let's us see their charms and what they gemmed in their armor.

As long I can disable this feature I'm OK with that

Good point sai... That would actually be nice.

Overall I can actually see this feature being used very well with friends and community members to comparie what you have to make really good gear sets for each run or as stated to show some people what to charm in and to carry around for each mission...

For example... "We are about to go to the volcano and fight (insert a fire monster here), it's best to use a weapon he is weak against and armor suited for that weapon and the Volcano area as well as having items such as these cool drinks and this other stuff. Click on my character to look and go get a similar armor and items."


Or to go along with what you said Sai, "Hey, I noticed you have (so and so charm equiped) on your (so and so weapon/armor) you can forge (so and so) instead and use (so and so) and it will give you (this and this) skill boths and higher stats in several areas, just to let you know."

Some people don't like being judged or even given advice about what they have on for one reason or another. Others actually have nothing else to wear. But for mid to end game, I can see this being very usefull.

Hopefully I can get a good constant group of hunters to go out with. Would make this that much more useful.

its annoying enough having these douchers complain and narc on people over what armor/weapons we're bringing,
now we're just gonna have them complain & narc that we're not bringing the right crap -_-"

Wow, this is great. I don't think there will be as many drawbacks as there will be positives. It's good for the new players to see what items other players are bringing, for instance if i notice a player that is taking a bunch of damage, i might recommend that they bring extra herbs and blue mushrooms lol. This will also help with preperation for quests as well for stradegized and coordinated players. I guess we will see though when the game comes out!

People will look into my pouch, and they will only find garbage, insect husks, and burnt meat. Problem?

This pretty much sums it up for me. Mainly because i think these type of players. are getting more frequent. I remember when tri first came out and it was a near perfect community. Nobody got on one another because of what weapon, items, or charms they had equipped but by how they hunted and they mostly just cared about getting the job done. but later on negative players showed up more and ive seen some good players get lashed at by these bossy and negative players because of what armor,items, weapons they were using or because they didnt hunt using their methods like sleep bombing etc. I cant imagine how these players would get with the ability to see what others are carrying. Im sure people from the forums dont act this way though.

hopefully if you bump into the negative players you can block them and not see them again.
