So if was planning to buy the console, but the updates will take a lot of time to download and I live in a place where you don´t know when internet connection and electricity will go out, and a 5 hour download doesn´t help at all.
Any suggestions?

5 hours???!!?

It took me 20 minutes >_>

It only took a long time when it launched because the servers were flooded.
Btw, my connection is average, not like super fast.

My Internet isn't the best and the ones that were having problems during the updates were ones that were mostly doing something wrong themselves, such as turning it off or interrupting it like "every system" warns not to do.

Trust me, you want to talk about the WiiU stuff just PM me. Nintendo knows me on a first name basis after all I've had to go through and everything I've lost and still I have enjoyed my WiiU (my 3rd one in the month after it launched) very much and am glad I invested in it. I will be even happier once MH3U come out.

Also Nintendo has broken up following updates into smaller updates to make it easier on people so don't think they are listening and working to make things better.

XD this is exactly why I never buy consoles the moment they're released. only worthwhile time was the 3DS release and that was because mine only cost me $25.

I have no regrets.

Just no data :P but I heard the console overall is great from my friends just your luck is horrid. Nintendo consoles are long lasting for the most part yours was just a freak occurrence.

I remember Nintendo saying future consoles will include the update update.
