Gamestop Preorder bonus

Gamestop has now announced that if you preorder a copy of MH3U you will receive a code on pick up (or by email if ordered online) for a free digital copy of Brady Games MH3U's Guide.

I'm grateful for the bonus. But I really wish it was a physical copy of the guide. The thing must look like some sort of tome!

I love strategy guides - I don't use them for a walkthrough or how to beat bosses - but mainly for all the art and different weapon, armor stats, enemy locations, etc.

One of my favorite guides was the FF 12 Limited Edition. Side note, some guides sell for a lot of money. Aside from collecting retro games, I also collect guides. Might pick up the hard copy (pre ordered at Gamestop, they're offering 50% bonus trade in ATM) on Amazon or something when it goes on sale. =)

they did make a proper paper back guide <or at least a huge one>
and we already have a digital guide in this website, i'll be picking up the paper version for quick reference w/out having to occupy the tv and the pc.

Yup Jader, Brady games has been hard at work for quite a while now with Capcom Japan and and Capcom US to make the first fully comprehensive MH guide relesed in the west in 10 years. It will have pretty much everything dealing with both versions of MH3U, lots of pictures and lots more.

Soooo.... The moron comment was a bit harsh dont ya think? And we have been talking about it on here for a while.

I'm sure digitalizing it will have them lose sales of the physical. But I could be wrong~

Jader, This may be true, but they still haven't confirmed they won't release a hard copy of the guide book. And again, I'd still purchase it even if it released later down the road. A digital copy is better than nothing, after all, we've been using the internet as our guide for years! Patience, you must have. Young Skywalker.

Jader/pain: the hard copy of the guide is releasing in March and in case you didn't know Bradygames ALWAYS have digital copies of their physical guides.

You can buy the digital guide from them online or a physical guide in stores. If you get the physical guide it comes with a code (usualy) that you can go to Bradygames site and download the digital copy free.

Gamestops promotion gives everyone the digital copy free automatically for preordering the game which may actually increase sales of the physical copy as the physical copies often include more art and sometimes other information. So overall it's a good promotion.

Also keep in mind the physical copy is likely to be $39.99 or up due to its size.

Lol idk if it's my luck with horrible employees or if it's just the store I go to, I asked a friend who works there if he knew anything about the hard copy and he said they didn't know anything, which is why I said they didn't confirm. Maybe because it was just announced? Anyways, this is great news.

I agree, something to put on the shelf is always nice. It's a little odd, but I ways get excited to see parts of a game franchise outside of the game itself. (Unless its a fail movie/tv show...)

now if only they had more concept art...even official art of alatreon would be nice because it essentially doesnt exist...

Yea, playing Chrono Trigger on the SNES with this guide feels like I'm using some ancient relic haha

Yup.. Double checked what I could and at this time they have not given a full explanation as to why it is a reduced copy and is not being printed in hard copy.

I am going to go to Staples (or maybe Kinkos) and make this guide something worthy to use and have right next to me. Full color, Spiral binding and laminated so I can scribble notes in dry-erase markers.

... Wish I had the money to do that (over $200.00) /versad/

Meh, lets see how much I get in tax returns this year and I might spoil myself.

Edit: For print purposes, on a double sided print, does this come out to be 125 physical pages? or is the guide really 250 double sided pages? Makes a huge difference price wise.
