| I am about to take on the quest Hunter Killer, where I must hunt the following:
A Great Jaggi and A Barroth
in the Sandy Plains, which are unstable, and I believe also have a Qurupeco ready to call for trouble.
I currently am armed with a Vodyanoy Hammer, which has decent green sharpness, 676 Attack plus 210 Water (it will help with the Barroth.)
I am armored with the following:
Qurupeco Helm, level 4 Qurupeco Greaves, level 4
Steel Mail, level 4 Steel Vambraces, level 4 Steel Faulds, level 4
My question is: am I ready for the Hunter Killer mission armed and armored like that? If not, please recommend a set.

| Again, please ask simple question like these in the question hotline: https://mhwiki.forumotion.net/t7391-the-question-hotlineOntopic: Yes, pretty much. Hunter Killer seems like a hard quest with two monsters and all, but it's actually fairly easy. The monsters should have reduced health compared to single monster quests, thought the higher quest level may balance that out. The thing is, just kill jaggi first. He's easy to find, and you shouldn't need more than 5 minutes to kill him. Then you've only got barroth left, and you have already tackled him before. You should have access to slightly better gear now. And yes, it may go wrong when you get ganged up on, and lose that one last life. But if barroth alone wasn't a big problem for you, then Hunter Killer should be close to a breeze. | |

| I cannot believe after all our help you come in here with that armor set!
Just kidding. You don't need good sets to succeed in offline. In that quest the monsters will go down a bit faster than normal, so no worries.

| I'd suggest Fire element myself, as that hurts Jaggi more (and Barroth when hitting a part not mud-covered), but apart from that you're good. Mentioning what skills you have would've been good though. | |

The only fire hammers you have access to at that point have noticeably lower raw damage. So it's probably best stick with water. Especially considering water is better against a muddy barroth than fire is against a not muddy barroth (I think). And water is better for the qurupeco, if it decides to interfere. But, yeah, fire generally works as well as water for a barroth. On a side note, it may be a good idea to consider forging barroth armour at some point. That set you say you have... isn't excellent, so maybe you should replace it with something else some time soon. Just a suggestion. Not that I'm one to talk - I used baggi armour as my main set at that point in the game.
