So, I played mh3u since yesterday cause my gamestop sold it early. The bow is a fantastic weapon; very agile and efficient. The GS charge felt a little slower, but I just have to get used to. I'm back to the hunting spirit!

^ I would have to disagree. I mained GS in Tri and in many other MH games and it actually seemed a bit quicker. Going straight into a charge stance, the charge all together and most of the GS attacks seemed to be a lot more smooth IMO. I may have to test Tri out one last time and see.

Anyways, went to a launch event. Several people hit their gains and actually talked to several more about it and showed off demo and talked about the game and the forum. The guys at my GS asked me to explaine it to anyone who had questions. All in all we got a few new MH fans who seemed to be impressed with the game and I think their "First Impression" of the MH series went quite well.

I will try doing that cause the GS seemed delayed but hopefully you're right.

The caves are now bright! You don't even need a torch

Also, online is kinda weird to go to. There's a "Multi mode" and a "Network mode"

So far the game seems easier than Tri. Could just be that I have a better idea of how to play. Glad I ordered the circle pad XL from eBay as it makes play so much smoother. Overall I am loving the new features and that GS gave me a code for the digital guide with the DS pre order.

Veteran players will find this game much easier this time around. Monsters have some new movesets, and there seems to be hitboxes that favor the hunter more than the monster this time around.

Ranged attacks by monsters no longer have as wide a range upon ground hit as before.

Visually stunning! I find myself just pausing and looking at the backgrounds, and heck, even the ground. Even the pebbles seem to be well places and makes the deserted island "beach" landscape take on aspects that are reminiscent of the colorado riverbank. Thumbs up.

For new players, if they go online, they will be completely overwhelmed by the game. this could be a detriment to the game, but as long as they don't just put it down and forget about it, they should be fine.

Overall, it is what I expected out of the game and a little more.

I liked how Aptonoths have a bit more texture detail to them. They really refined everything in this game!

I dislike how Lagombi's head hitbox is ridiculously tiny; my hammer cannot hit it at all.

I wish I wasn't so broke that I could at least afford a 3DS to play it :/ Do you know how many days it will take me to get this? I'm a dishwasher who gets paid under the table, so probably within the week or something, if I don't spend my money. But reading everything, it seems like people are enjoying this game, so that makes me happy. It makes me want it more. Especially since my specialty is back ;D (My specialty is the Bow xD) ^^

It finally came in yesterday! It was amazing, I love the interface on the game pad, and the online play is much more accessible.
Stayed up all night playing and I have to say, I'm loving the Hunting Horn for immobility and versatility in combat, being able to buff your team then follow up by getting pretty decent KO's so you can be helpful even with underpowered gear.

Low rank was a joke. All of the monsters died between 2-5 minutes except for Lagiacrus and Ceadeus. I hope High Rank and G Rank have greater difficulty.

I do understand why it's so easy though, it does a muh better job to let you get used to the game. For example, in mhfu, even LR was pretty challenging at some points, but new players will adjust to the game quicker now an hopefully not be hit as hard by HR and G rank.
