Looking through the Brady Games guide, I noticed that "Bullet" is one of the damage categories on the monster hitzone chart. Does that mean that all bullets do the same base type of damage (ie, not pierce damage type on your pierce shots)?

Do we want to start a question thread to keep all the questions contained?

Unless something has changed, bullets do Impact Damage, like Hammers and Hunting Horns, but do not have innate Exhaust or KO damage without the right bullets. Slicing Shots allow you to do cutting damage with Bowguns.

I've been corrected Yes by vort

Bullets do Shot/Bullet damage... It's always been like this. Any bullet besides Paint and Sleep will inflict Shot/Bullet damage and is based on the Shot/Bullet hit zone of a monster

I've always known them to be 'pierce' category, unless they moved it to bullet or cutting?

What's a pierce category? A pierce shot is nothing but a normal shot hitting multiple times.. Piercing shots are no unique kind of damage infliction

Sorry had a complete brainfart.
I mean like,
each arrow has it's own modifier.

It can't surely be just the same modifer O_o

Like, scatter shots had different 0.xx multiplier as oppossed to a rapid, and pierce etc, and distance travelled lowers the power, and where the arrow hit had an affect too

They better not of generalised all the arrows to one type of modifier

Thanks. I had thought pierce shots had a special pierce type damage. Good to have a better idea how it works.
