My Top LS List

As I did with Tri, I am making a list of all the LSs I plan on having by end-game. Of course, these are also the best of their element. I am not listing them for their viability, (*cough* poison LS *cough*), but for their ability/worth. This is also a help thread; if you guys find a better LS with the same element, please inform me!

Altheos Altrusta

In my opinion, the Altheos Altrusta is the best LS. Although best is a term I use loosely; as it is rarely the best vs. a monster, but typically the next-best-thing. It is also the sharpest weapon in the game, right above Wyvern Blade “Rose”. I will most likely be using it the most as well. Although it's only downside, imo, is it has no slots.

So; what do you guys think of the list? Are they all truly the best-in-class for their elements? Also; could someone please explain to me what slime is? I am guessing it behaves similar to poison.

I think I agree with you on the selections. Though I will admit that the Altheos might not be the ultimate Longsword due to other LS that have higher raw. I believe the best overall LS might be the Deviljho LS: Nero's Calamity, mostly due to it being the highest raw value while having purple sharpness. Another possible "best" LS might be the Brachydios's Pyro Demolisher, if only due to the way Slime works.

Personally, for a dragon longsword, I plan on getting the Stygian Gula, just because I like the design; and I plan to use it with the Stygian armor!

Have you considered Megrez's Asterism? Its raw isnt that spectacular but if you consider an affinity of 50% and purple sharpness it's quite a good sword! Imagine critical eye +3...

Alatreon weaps > all other weaps

This is assuming no skills of course.
If you're comparing ala weaps with no skills vs other weaps with sharp+1 then yes they can compete but A+15 is hard to get and instead ala weaps can stick to getting more damage increasing skills. So alatreon weapons are the best weapons overall. Sucks how silver Los got nerfed

Handicraft is a 10 point skill not haruno.


Also I have to disagree with one weapon selection and that is the fire longsword look up wyvern blade bloom raw eats out element any day if it is a noticeable difference with longsword.
