So I had to send in my WiiU for repairs since it would freeze whenever I tried to do anything, luckily I could recover my monster hunter data on the 3DS with the transfer tool (This is why you get both versions). But when I get it back I'm worried about if I am able to transfer my data back over to the WiiU.

If I remember correctly, there was discussion on here about transferring data and that the data "locks" between the 3ds and the Nintendo Network id the first time you transfer. So if the worse case scenario happened and they had to wipe all of my save data including my Nintendo Network id, would I not be able to transfer my 3ds save back over? Or has this been proven wrong and there is no system lock after all, I can transfer to any WiiU.

I'm not sure how much time I want to invest in my 3ds save if I wont even be able to go online with it. /sad/

How is your nintendo networkid set up? If by email that shouldn't matter you could always tranfer it to another console that is assuming it's set up by an email account.

I set it up on the conole itself, but with the email I can transfer it over? That's great news thanks a ton!

You should be able to if you used your email to set it up on your wii u. No problem glad I could help.

Edit: Also if you have any questions regarding your wii u ask dcj91x he's had experience with having to send his wii u in.

Was going to say, don't you tie your id to an email account now because of the used console roulette that happened right after the WiiU's launch?

I don't know why, but I found this comment right here so hilarious that I just spent the last couple of minutes keeled over laughing. Good show Yuki.
