So i went perusing as i always do before i make a new thread. And my search lead me to this thread.

My question(s) is/are as follows...

1. Im farming for online jhen. obviously the cap expert is going to do nothing for me, however the great luck skill will increase the probability of me getting earth dragon gems correct?

2. If the answer to question 1 is yes, then does this apply to all gem/ruby type items?

Reason i'm asking is because im not too familiar with quest rewards, however i am familiar with the fact that, for instance, breaking ians head and severing tail both have a chance to yield plates/rubies. Although i did not know you could simply get a ruby by completing the quest even if you did not break anything.

/e and i thought petting your pig was more of a superstition, if not could someone point me to the concrete evidence?

//e also anybody know an armor set that gives to the fate skill?

So the way Good/Great luck works is it'll increase the amount of rewards you get in the end, not necessarily "upgrade" them. Great > good, obviously. But yes, since you get more items, you mathematically have a better chance of getting the rarer items.

Okay, now about this pig petting buisness....I remember in FU it was more superstition than anything, and seeing multiple people get stomped on forum boards, by post fiction as fact pig threads, by programmers/coders that disected the game. Did capcom change this? In the link in my previous post it states petting your pig increases luck level by 1, which is what people had posted when FU came out, but low and behold, that was fictitious rumors. What i'm after is concrete proof.

In a couple of games to include Tri the Pig petting was "FACT" though worked different ways. In some games it added extra rewards (slightly). Tri was the first one where it (slightly) if I recall for some items in row 1&2 as stated in that post linked raised the % of the possibly of receiving rarer items. Just in rows 1 and 2.

HOWEVER!!!! There has been nothing to state it works the same way in 3U.

In fact because of the different items and %'s as well as not beeing able to hook the 3DS/WiiU up to a computer and test this (like was done with the Wii and Tri as well as interviews from CapJa developers)... We just don't know with 3U.

On that same note though, what can it hurt to try.

i agree with this. Im just a see it to believe it kinda guy, therefore i wanted to see code segments or proof of some sort, but ive been petting my pig anyways. like i said, superstition if nothing else.

/e - still looking for code segments ect. ect. not because (insert name here) said so, no offense.
