wow really cool!!!!! I want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but will they also come to the west, when the game gets here? a lot of crossovers weren't transfered here with the game, because most are event stuff.
also is this gonna be an event quest with the congalala and the power up mushroom? that would be a really cool event quest as it is something unique and most events we have up to now are just like normal quests, or have extra strong/big/small monsters so this would be really cool.

^ I would be very surprised if, assuming MH4 gets a western release, they removed this stuff. I think the reason a lot of the event stuff in Ultimate was changed or removed was either due copyrights or because a lot of it was relevant to the japanese market (Like the Shingeki no Kyojin & Universal Studios Japan equipment, Keroro mask), and so it wouldn't really have the same appeal over here as it would in Japan (Despite me wanting the shit out of the Azure Suit and SnK stuff). With the crossovers being Mario and Zelda, neither of those things would be a problem. Or I could just be a complete idiot and none of this is true. That's my take on it, anyway.
Also we can finally play as Link with tits. REJOICE.

I feel the need to point out that this is the first event bow in the main games, hopefully this one will pave the way for more event bows :D

isn't it actually the first ranged event weapon? or have there been Bowguns before?

There were a couple event bowfins in Tri if I recall.

Will this be the first time where event items don't get a look change if they EVER get localized? If they decided to change them... I wonder what would they change them to.

Since these pieces of event equipment are copyrighted by Nintendo (who is publishing the game), there is no chance this content would be re-skinned. Removed outright? Not likely, but that would be the only logical exception. In other words, if MH4 ever goes overseas, I AM GOING TO ROCK THAT BOW SO HARD!

Ahh, you are correct. I was thinking of the rusted bowguns and the one made from the arena coins. In 3U the bow does not have rusted versions either.

"Fri Dec 14, 2012 Charge Axe in "Sword and Shield" mode looks like Skyward Sword with Hylian Shield. Since the series is now on Nintendo handhelds I won't be suprised if they implement it as some sort of event weapon."

^ Not a charge axe.. but still the same. And i'm pretty sure everyone saw this coming every since Monster Hunter made the move to Nintendo.
The mario and Luigi outfits.. No thrilled about now Monster Hunter is just another mario game..
But the link outfit Mastersword and Bow.. really do fit into MH.
... Mario Hunter? /no/

The cats are annoying, anyway. Now you just have the option to make them look really ridiculous, too. I dunno. Honestly, I was wondering if the Nintendo sound effects will make it in, because I was more excited about those than I was for the Mario cat outfits.
