| Whether they're your top ten to fight, top ten for armor, or even your top ten for just their appearance, we all have our favorite monsters on MH3U! Feel free to state your top ten in some type of category, such as the ones I mentioned, or just your overall ten favorites. Feel free to give a little bit about why they're on the list, too
Here are my overall top ten:- Spoiler:
1. Dire Miralis I definitely enjoy a good Miralis fight, plus the music and its appearance, along with its armor and weapons. It's also always fun to just shoot it in the head once at the start of the battle with the ballista they provide and watch it fall over into the water. The mighty Miralis sure does fall easily XD
2. Abyssal Lagiacrus I do like this color combination, but Lagiacrus just make it look all the better, especially when that charge comes. These also pose a good challenge, though I'll admit that I'm no fan of the underwater tornadoes... Still, the armor looks great, and the monster definitely keeps me moving.
3. Crimson Qurupeco I've always liked the Qurupeco in Tri, but the subspecies' color is a plus. While their ability to summon monsters may annoy some, I tend to look forward to a little extra to my hunt, especially if it's a Deviljho, Savage or not. The armor for these also entertain me, what with the big hats and the style of it all.
4. Deviljho The loathed brute of Tri, this monster is a good challenge to those who know just how to handle them and a wake-up call for those who don't. I myself, on a good day, enjoy a good round with it, plus the G-rank armor is a favorite. The Savage form's black blood, however, is a bit of a rain on this, but that can be fixed. I still enjoy using its long sword, an old favorite from Tri.
5. Glacial Agnaktor Even with the laser shot that changes directions, this subspecies' colors and armor win me over. Then again, my favorite color's blue, so, yeah... I loved the Agnaktor in Tri, but its subspecies is a plus to it.
6. Stygian Zinogre Not a fight favorite, these tend to be a great challenge even when I'm teamed up with my younger brother. I do like the appearance, however, and it has nice armor, too, especially the ears on the head piece.
7. Brachydios Though it is my top two favorite colors, blue and green, though not the right shades, I'm not exactly a big fan of them due to their inclusion in some not-so-happy quests (ex. Hero to unlock Ala in village), but they are a nice fight, plus the slime element's pretty cool.
8. Sand Barioth This may be mostly for appearance and armor, to be honest, though I do also like the challenge their speed brings about.
9. Gold Rathian Not a big fan of their tough scales, but I am a huge fan of their armor.
10. Lucent Nargacuga As much as I dislike fighting them, I love their armor and appearance.

| On one hand, I love alatreon. On the other hand, I despise everything he is grouped with, also why are jho and snarf together? Jho is a brute wyvern and snarf/gobul are leviathan's. | |

Yeah, that was something that bothered me when I made it... I wanted to try to get all the large monsters in there (excluding subspecies), but there's only up to ten allowed for a poll, so I tried (and mostly failed) to put the large monsters in sensible groups while trying to keep all the choices sort of close in number of monsters (also did bad here)... I wanted to try making one just to see how the results came in, but now I'm thinking perhaps the poll just ought to go

| Screwattack'sCeadeus' top 10 Favorite monsters (in 3U) - top 10s:
10. Glacial Agnaktor Sometimes good things comes from a skin change. This particular sub monster is one of my favorites from the game despite coming from the one monster I hate the most (apart form Bulldrome but thats another story). Combining both water and ice in one cool monster (heh) this guy is one of the best designed monsters from the game. But it only gets number 10 cuz its agna in the tundra.
9. Great Jaggi The battle is easy, its the weakest monster in the entire game. Its so weak that even the rusted sns can kill his G-Rank ver. Why then is it 9? Overall I liked his design, it is a purple colored obesse raptor that owned me the first time I fought him in Tri. But thats the point of the first boss right? Teach you the basics of the game. Most of the time (Kut-Ku)
8. Ceadeus Yeah people hate this guy because he is not only an hp tank, he is an hp tank that is fought entirely underwater. But good things came out of this monster. Despite not having the same feeling that it had in Tri with him being the final boss of the game (even more now that servers are closed), Ceadeus, at least for me is still a very cool monster. Bonus points that you can own him in one quest with G-rank equipment.
7. Jade Barroth Similar to Agna I hate the Barroth with my life. Fighting him the first time back on tri was so much... Ugh. But his icy version have good points. By the time you fight him you've probably already massacred an entire family of Barroths. His fighting style is pretty much the same. And he can open the 8 and 9 areas... so thats cool.
6. Volvidon What is this guy doing here? From the 3 bear like creatures introduced in p3rd, Volvidon is the one that stands out much more. Arzuros is weak, Urcusis is annoying. Volvidon is cool. His armor and weapons might not be the best out there. But that Attack up so early in high rank actually saved my butt a time or two. Oh, and he is a red armadillo.
5. Jhen Mohran Lets face it, everybody hates the fortressess... (whatever) battles. Lao Shan and Shen Gao Ren (which I never ever fought before) seemed like very cool battles. And they are very cool battles until the 2nd fight were they drag on and on and on is not even enjoyable. Jhen however always keeps the battle interesting. After all you are fighting a giant sand whale in a boat... in sand. When fighting alone you have too keep an eye on him so you can use the boat's equipment accordingly... if you fail then you and your boat sunk into teh bottom of the desert....
4. Alatreon If decided to fight this guy alone then.... good bye. Even when fighting with 3 other friends the almighty ALATREON can kill you call in few hits. This gal was the final boss of Tri's online play and it was the bane of every rank 50 player. And now that she's back, she's become the bane of every single player in the entire game. Bow down in front of your godesss.
3. Zinogre The giant electric wolf that was first introduced in P3rd is back. He has the power of electricity and his battle is entirely different from everything you have seen to this point. He charges his angst to attack you. And you get weaken him by doing damage... yeah but even that damage hurts his angst. His equipment even comes with the hidden power included making long lasting battles with difficult monsters a little bit easier.
2. Abyssal Lagiacrus I still haven't with this monster yet, but that makes him even cooler. A dark colored even stronger version of Lagia who stays underwater all the time in the Underwater ruins this guy is pure pain. His desing is just unnerving, being a completely black colored Lagi with only blue in his electric shells and mouth. And that is why he is 2.
1. Bracchydios You saw this one coming didn't you? The new flagship monster of the game is one of the coolest monsters to fight. Despite being such an early monster he is still one of the best. He keeps a moderate difficulty. Not so hard but not so easy. And his weapons are the only branch that can kill every single monster without any problem.

| Jhen Mohran is probably the most entertaining overall because of the variety of things you have to use to kill it. But nothing beats knocking the lights out of a Rathalos from behind you with the backswing of a hammer. You go into your triple X combination and he sidesteps behind. He rears his head to spit fire and *CONK*. Nighty Night. I get goosbumps just thinking about it. | |

Sounds like you might enjoy the Hallowed Jhen, what with the subspecies really requiring focus on the ship weapons in order to protect the ship and succeed. Of course, timing's everything with that ship and monster >.> I personally don't use the hammer class, but it really is fun to knock the Rathalos out of the sky with the long sword... It means something when my younger brother feels sorry for monsters, and boy did he when I kept knocking Los out of the sky and even defeating them while they were still airborne. He was even telling me at a point to calm down xD
