| So I finally got MH3U, but I got it for the 3DS, and I didn't see where the 3DS MH3U section was, so I put it here. Anywhoozle, I have it and I have a question. Does offline only go to High Rank, or is there G-Rank offline? | |

| Moga village (Offline) only has the High Rank, The port (Offline/Online) goes all the way to G rank | |

| There are two portions of the game. The first portion is the Moga Village Quests. the second portion is the Tanzia Port Quests. You can play on either mode at any time you feel like it.
Village Quests are just village quests, so let's just ignore them.
Tanzia Port has two different modes. One where you can play without wireless communications(Solo/offline play. Called the "Solo Port"), and Multiplayer mode(Local play onlly. No online. Called "Multiplayer Port") These versions of Tanzia port are identical in many ways. Everything you can do in Multiplayer can be done in Solo, except a few things:
Solo port has an option called "Hunters for Hire", where you can send hunters(who you have exchanged guild cards with) to do a bit of hunting. They can gather exclusive items you can't find anywhere else. You can bring both Cha-Cha and Kayamba with you at the same time on Solo Port.
Multiplayer Port allows you to play with 3 other players. You can exchange Guild Cards with other players to compare your records and check their stats. There's an option to ring the port's gong to alert nearby players that you're seeking companions to hunt with(completely optional mechanic. You can do without ringing the gong). You can only bring one Shakalaka with you in Multiplayer Port. Playing with friends(whom you've exchanged guild cards with) can earn you exclusive Veggie Elder Tickets(Silver, Gold, Cosmic), which can be used to earn rare Monster parts. Veggie Elder is located on field maps, not in the Village or Port.
Everything else is essentially the same: Quests, Quest progression, etc., and Port quests have the G rank quests.
