Weapon Design Contest (by Capcom)

First topic message reminder :

Capcom is doing a weapon design contest for Monster Hunter. The weapons of the 2 winners (one America, one EU/AUS) will be featured in "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate" in a yet unknown way.

Any drawing technique is allowed but only one entry per person. The competition starts today and entries will be taken until May 5th.

PS: Also could someone be so nice to explain this rule to me?:
If a Canadian resident wins a prize, that person must also answer correctly within a 5 minute time period a mathematical skill-testing question without the benefit of any calculating devices before the prize will be awarded.
(Human verification? or something like that?)

I submitted mine yesterday, I ended up doing a sword and shield since that was easiest for me to draw.
I'm too lazy to go find a pic but basically it's just like a sword and shield made out of ice and snowflakes, nothing too special.
I did have trouble deciding if I should make it a fire or ice weapon (since coloring it red = fire, and blue = ice), so I did both, but I liked the ice version better.
Actually, I liked the fire sword better, but the ice shield better - so I was going to submit them in that combo - you know, could act like when you get 2 element dual swords, except the shield does ice impact damage, and the sword did fire cutting damage (feel free to use this idea for your weapon designs, too, I think it's pretty cool and unique). Kinda regret not submitting that now, but I'm happy with the full ice weapon I submitted.

Overall talking about what weapon you are doing is ok, i think but showing your picture I think you should hold off on until after the contest has concluded on the 5th of may (up to you though).

after the 5th I think it would be nice though to show off what each of us submited and talk about them.

I feel like MH didn't have enough good basic looking weapons (Like the Long Sword Katana). They needed some endgame weapons that had look. They have some of those higher damage arena weapons, but those aren't very good.

I want a really high damage, basic looking weapon.

... I don't think that was a comment meant to be responded to Troy.

in freedom unite they had G-versions of most of the low and highrank designs, also the basic looking weapons, though they weren't actually too great they at least had average G-Rank attk and though they were not among the best weapons of the game, they had enough power to be used efficiantly against G-ranked monsters

I drew up one for my step dad and friend, they sent their's in and i just sent mine, can't wait to post em tomorrow
