to those play MH 2 regardles on japanese text

I applied an english patch to mine. Made and ISO of my original copy, applied an english patch using ppf-o-matic and then patched it with ESR to play on my PS2

is all translated?
well i play this onward thanks to translated walkthroughs on odjectives , gem and skills.
but do some i can`t under stand.

like there is a red diamond with a X icon when im in village.
what is that? it somthing of a "title" i accomplish?

and in adventure time i ate the fish droped by the Melnyx, rare chance i got an icon look just like hot /cold drinks effect but its yellow. what is that?

do pls help explain those 2 icon.
