| Seeing as MHGen will be coming westward this summer, I believe it's about time we start getting hyped safely.
So, which Hunter Style tinkles your fancy? Which adept style do you like best? Adept style or adept style? Adept style.

| I will be going full evasion, and possibly focusing on the hammer this time around. The hammer is a very strong weapon with KO capabilities, and the only reason I avoided using it fully, was because while the monsters could telegraph their moves, I didn't have a shield to avoid the extended hit/hitboxes. With the perfect dodge mechanic, not only will I have a wider window to dodge, it will also beef up my hits! So it's a win/win!
Now... to relearn the movesets of all the monsters.

| I really want to go for Bushido LS, but I'll have to practice playing LS in 4U without the back fadeslash.
Bushido, Striker, and Aerial all take away some parts of the movesets for weapons, as well as have different numbers of hunting arts (Guild 2, Bushido 1, Striker 3, Aerial 2) available. Hopefully losing the back fade slash and restricting the spirit roundslash to after a Bushido evade only will be quick to adapt to so I can make use of it, otherwise I still see myself going Guild style LS.
Bushido Bow only loses Arc shot which isn't even really a loss at all, so I'm definitely cool with going for that as well.

| Well to be honest I haven't yet checked what moves will be missing from the dual blades bushido/adept style. My only reason for choosing it is because dual blades mobility and the bushido evades will look cool as balls | |

| I'm a bit saddened that the Tonfa's aren't in MH x/generations. As far as style I'm thinking of giving striker a try. Seems like it might go well with some of the quicker weapons. | |

| will work on all styles for LS before branching out! Hammer will prob come second. gonna check out all styles for the weapons that interest me. prob will stick to a specific style for non LS weapons unless i have a lot of time to play which i probably won't.

| So the other players in my group have come to some type of consensus about who should do what based on what they are doing now. This is how it is playing out:
Me: Guild GS - Main damage dealer early on, as we get used to all the new game mechanics. HA -Lions Maw (Builds power for next hit), Brimstone Slash (Strongest single hit in the game, but 10 second charge time) - Perfect for hitting a sleeping monster.
Cousin: Bushido DS - Status nut. He will go for paralysis/sleep/poison duals from the get go. HA - Beast Mode (Each hit, hits twice, which works with demon dance, for an insane 22 hit combo per demon mode. 60 second buff which looks insane :-P ).
Friend 1: Striker HH - Buffs all around. The skills he will pick will be Hunter's Oasis (Area Heal spot), Full Orchestra (Play's all HH songs at once), and Phoenix Flames (Cure's all ailments and heals)
Friend 2: Aerial Insect Glaive - Mounting specialist. HA - Extract Hunter (Get all 3 extracts in 1 shot). Combining the Glaives natural jump, with the bounce off attack fom the Aerial mode means that the mounting meter will always be primed for a quick mount.
We have been planning this group for a while now, and at least on paper, it seems it will overkill most monsters, with the exception of the Giant scripted types::: 1) HH Buffs, 2) Mount Monster 3) Try to Apply a Status while GS goes for tail, and HH goes for head. 3) If status goes first, GS switches to weakest spot for a Lions' Maw + Brimstone Slash. If KO'd, Continue to cut tail. If no tail or already cut, GS switches to weakest spot. 5)Repeat from 1 until monster is dead. If party is getting low on health, HH user does hunter's oasis and/or Full Orchestra.
^_^ I am getting excited over Generations again :-D

| Watching some videos my wife went "Ooohh" at Striker (she is purely Hammer user and use to be really good a dodging).
My daughter thinks she will stay with guild style since she doesnt care about big and flashy. Just big sword hitting big monster (she is purely a GS user).
