Upgrading armor?

Ok so on MH.wiki i see narga X's defense is 90~112.
I've fully upgraded my armor and it only reaches 8 levels, 104 defense.
Same goes for all my other armors, max of 8 level upgrade.
Is there some other way that I'm not aware of to upgrade armor?

Edit: Nevermind. Got the answer. Gotta defeat Ukanlos to further upgrade.

hey dude i can explain to you why your narga set saying 104 and not the same as wiki tells you. its couse when you kille ucalumbas the final enemy you can upgrade all your armors furthere..
some armors in S rank can be levled all the way past 30. i got a maklua set(i think thats how its spelled.) i lvled that set all the way to lvl 34 after i killed ucalumbas.
and thats a nice thing. then you can kepp on using your S and U rank armors instead of the Z and X. as an example
