| Every armour set except for the Chakra one comes with a set amount of Skill Points. If you get enough of a certain type of Skill Points, (example, 10 of Attack+ wll give you Attack up small) you will activate a skill.
Decorations are used mostly to get further upgrades of skills (example, gemming an armour set that gives Evade +1 so it gives Evade +2) or to gem in new skills alotogether (3 slots are very handy for this).

And.. you have to search on the internet to find what set skillpoints each piece of armor has, right?

Press Square to bring its further details up and use the left/right arrrows to change pages.

:D Tigrex armour has Quick Eating and Autotracker, and Mizuha (Chameleos) armour has Earplugs (which can be gemmed to be HG Earplugs) and Dragon Wind Breaker (best wind res skill in the game).
