yes i know this the monster hunter 3 place but there's no actual place for monster hunter freedom unite topics just please answer me this. Can i break Diamyo Hermitaur's shell using a longsword?

simple answer: no. either you can use hammer, lance, GL, or bombs, clust, or crag. You need impact or bomb damage to break it

and yes, you do need impact dmg to break its shell, though keep in mind, it can still be rather tough.

That'll be difficult... i mean come on, that item can only be gotten by a horn break on a Monoblos. If you can, try to go online, makes it a lot easier

I have a pet name for Daimyo Hermitaur. Every time the stupid thing dug into the ground and fled i had to play hide and seek with it since I didn't have enough paintballs in my inventory. And every time he fled I was thinking in my head "Damn you Hermitaur!"
