Your closest quest?

By closest, I mean a quest that you have just barely managed to complete (or fail for that matter). For example, today I completed the quest 'Subspecies Three!' (Blue Kut-Ku, Green Plesioth, Plum Diamyo Hermitaur) with 1 death and three seconds remaining. Yeah, three seconds. I got enough materials to upgrade my great purple emporor though, so it's all good :D So, what close shaves have you guys had?

Just curious what weapon did you use for that quest?

Maybe it's because I've never hunted plum diamyo with a bow, or maybe because the vespoids wouldn't leave me alone. Or maybe I just suck with bows, why don't you decide? Maybe not everyone's cut out to solo G rank monsters with a raw bow, OK?

U got me wrong... That comment was meant to make me seem amazed (cuz i was). I can never defeat plum with bow. I find it cool that u beat it with a high rank bow.

Sorry for sounding like an asshole, I was in a bad mood when I posed that. Yeah, my first PDH I had to use dual blades, it seems tough as hell with a bow.

Problem is those crab monsters like hermitaur (especially plum) and shoguns is that they have wide range physical attacks so with a bow and such, a mess-up can spell death due to low defense values. Gotta master evading their attacks.

Also...indeed how did you do this with a pure raw Bow? Exteriminator 1 isn't all that good.

I was once on a Tigrex Quest I fainted 2 times and ran out of potions and had a tiny bit of health tiggy started limping and I captured it.

Friend and I doing high rank lao shan. He's not hit the fortress at all and the 5 minute timer comes up and we still keep pumping rounds into him from our bows until finally...:08 seconds left on the clock and Objective Cleared! We killed it rofl
