I'm beginning to lose hope....

First topic message reminder :

I need 4 Majestic Horns and 4 Stout horns to make the endgame Diablos weapons, so that I have some decent weapons to use for the Alatreon. I also need 4 tailcases.

30 Diablos later, 0 Majestics, 0 Stouts and a single Tailcase.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm breaking both horns, cutting the tail, and ending by subquest. I've tried collecting Twisted Horns to try and trick the desire sensor (of which I now have about 50), I've tried mixing things up by using different weapons, hell, I even tossed a rathian plate to try and appease the desire sensor with a sacrifice, but I've gained absolutely nothing. Bloody hell, Tailcases are the most common thing you can get from the tail, and they're like bloody rubies for me. I'm beginning to lose heart in this now. What more can I do?

Ontopic: Shouldn't you be able with all those rath plates? In high rank, it's one of the more irritating items to get due to the amount you need for a lot of good weapons.

Oh by the way... i thought you were doing a "bone" playthrough? Or is that another account?

Alright Win32, that seems fair, merging the threads.

The stuff with the lagi armor is on my offline account, so it was a low rank los. I still have the all bone playthrough, but right now I can't stand to face another diablos.

One of the things i found to be helpful when stuck like this
1: dont got to the armory and look at armor at all or weapons either
,the thinking is the game then knows you want it and stops giving,hence setting off the desire meter into full swing!
2: dont Farm any monster or zone this seems to mess it all up. the game know what you are trying to do. Instead hunt with a choice armor like bone upgraded as far as possible jem it out and trick the game into thinking you are sticking with that armor! hahahah
3:when mining or farming a zone dont over kill it , only collect about half of your potential.
The game will take pity on your poor mining habit ,really!
4:finish your offline first the game is alot more generous when you do this!

Check armor and weapon needs online dont look at your inventory to often instead take count while you are arranging the box don hang on items to long or it thinks you want um!

Not to mention pimping weak armor is BOSS when you show up with weak looking armor and you hog the hit count everyone knows! the same goes for weapons pimping them to the end shows a lot of skill.
