How many hours does it take for a pro to finish MH3's offline mode?

Well unless I get a clear answer here I can't consider myself as a good player or something, I can't remember how many hours it took for me to complete the offline mode ..

Well I beat it twice and my second time took me about 2 days, unless your talking about EVERY quest being complete lol.

Offline only can be completed very fast, under 15 hours for sure if speeding through by experienced player. Halve that time if using gear and items already obtained online.

Has anyone done new character offline speedruns?

I dont think speedrunning is even worth it.
But I´d say its possible to finish offline in less than 15 hours, Im not testing it tho.

Took me 10 with low rank gear and only doing key queats and urgents while still farming a few weapons.

Lol I refuse to use the term pro the speed comes with experience of hitzones and kearning what weapons you excel in.

That's impossible, I don't think so. Less than 15 hours? Nope, I can kill a large monster without healing using my switch axe less than 5 minutes like Lagiacrus. Although it takes TIME to get mega potions/honey/potion/blue mushroom/ and stuff. You need to combine them, at the very first I create the best item pouch that's why.

I'm guessing about 10 hours should be doable. With experience, none of the offline monsters should really be taxing on potions/armour and such, and they succumb fairly easy to most weapons.

I'd probably get a general path hammer, and upgrade it to the bone bludgeon+ at great baggi, who you have to fight once in a key quest, and you need two crests to make the bludgeon. It's a weapon with about the best raw/sharpness combo for most of offline, so i could focus on rushing through the key quests for the rest. Trade whatever i happen to get and sell all mats i can't use for armour in order to buy neccessary items.

The big block here is ceadeus, i guess you'd need more than one hunt with a slightly subpar weapon and mixed armour (without skills, probably), but using ballistas and dragonator, the second hunt should do it for just repelling him.

You're right, you really don't have to fully refill your potions. I can't do that, I just simply don't feel comfortable for some reason.

If you go online first and get endgame gear, you could probably breeze through it in maybe 3. Doing the opposite would take probably 4-5 times as long.

Like yuki said it basically depends on your monsterhunter experience i mean with my second character Celeste i finished offline in maybe 12 hours, doing the key quests and ceadus, then another 3 and a half for all of the offline urgents. those are annoying to do with crappy gear but doable nevertheless. and the only reason i did speed through the offline on this alt was to get junk i could use in online mode. mostly sellable stuff because i was already hr 32 when i started offline with her. i used ludroth sns or paralykeet most of the time.

Have you never read Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy? 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything.

1st run through offline took me around 11-12 hours to complete using my battra set and used longswords/greatswords. the 2nd trial through offline I used my Gomera hammer set and cleared through it in a little over 3 hours.

Lol I have done it in less than three hourd with endgame equipment if offline only shouldn't take much time if you have prior experience and know what you are aiming for.

yea and how I did It used my favorite hammer set with HGE and Tremor resistance. All i regretted not having those 3 hours was my troll song, because it was just hilarious after a while XD

I havent really checked my hours, but on my sub Mika who is low HR, got to ceadeus in 6-7 hours with Sieglinde GS.
I think ill do ceadeus after online...he is boring and attacks like a dead cow.

I only beat offline once...
I played online and offline at the same time, so I wouldn't even know.
It would be so much easier to complete offline after completing online.
